You helped me place into college math after 19 years without any classes. Thanks bro. If it gets me a job I'll cut you a slice in Patreon if you're still around.
Im on a math team myself there is a really easy way in doing this 1st step: subtract both from 100, you get 2 and -2 2nd step: multiply and add to 100, 2(-2)=(-4) 100+(-4)=96 , those would be your last digits 3rd step: take the 2 and (-2) and add them, you get zero and add it to 99, and that would be your first 2 digits. so answers 9996 example: 95x102. (-5)2=(-10) add it to 100 and get 90. next take (-5) add it to 2 you get (-3) and add it to 99 and you get 96. so answer would be 9690 check it with a calculator if you want im not wrong
"take the 2 and (-2) and add them, you get zero and add it to 99, and that would be your first 2 digits. so answers 9996" First of all you're not adding. You're concatenating. Also, since when is zero equal to 99? You're not explaining this trick well at all. By the way since we're talking about math teams, I went to the International Math Olympiad.
And yet your education system is one of the weakest; I just fucking despite you lot. You wanna make it out as if you guys are better then rest of the world; but you’re not. You lot always have to comment something like “Indians discovered this” or “we have taught this since we were 5” every-time something is remotely related to education. I don’t see the European children bragging, yet they discovered most of the scientific knowledge today.
underdeveloped country, stop trying to show off on the internet when you have a ridiculously large number of illiterate children that can't do basic math.
@@a.syndeed I am smelling envy from you , why are you p1ssed at indian we might not be in top ranking but Indians rule in every corner of this planet .
Terrible. This is why everyone thinks they can be a teacher. Knowing a trick isn’t the same as knowing how to do something. A high schooler who learns from this video alone will undoubtedly use the same process for 102^2 + 98^2 and draw the wrong conclusion. But they’ll be sure they’re right because that’s how the video did it. This is why you want your teachers to be educated in pedagogy.
It's not a trick it's a legit mathematical identity taught in middle school in India. And if a High schooler doesn't know that a²+b² != (a+b)(a-b) then they have a lot to worry about and not just this.
@@henrycook859 there's literally 100's of tricks to solve such questions. These questions are asked in 8th grade. That too a lot more complicated than these.
Uhm thanks... Why am I getting recommended these vids... I'm a JEE aspirant... TwT Anyways thanks man these are some things everyone who studied middle school should know, and YT is weird.
it is not hard to multiply 102 or 98 by itself and calculate the difference cmon guys. who goes "how can I even solve it without a calculator!" for this question
@@kartaaham yes, also applicable to multiplicatoin of any number with itself being quite a trivial task. anyway doesn't really an important discussion i guess.
What? This has nothing to do with the binomial formula (binomial expansion theorem). Also, he didn't explain anything, he just showed how to solve a problem. He didn't even explain why a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b)
No because the word difference is related to the minus. Like the difference between 10 & 8 is 2 Which can also be written as 10-8. Soooo the it would not be backwards if it was 10+8.
