Den Gesamtweltcupsieg hat Petra Vlhova noch gar nicht auskostet, da sorgt schon ein pikantes Interview ihres Trainers Livio Magoni für internen Krach.
Livio Magoni ist dafür bekannt, kein Blatt vor den Mund zu nehmen. In einem Interview mit dem Corriere della Sera hat der Trainer-Guru den Bogen aber offensichtlich überspannt. Magoni bezeichnete Vlhova im Vergleich zu den „Diamanten“ Goggia, Bassino und Brignone ein „Bügeleisen“. Zudem betonte der frühere Coach der italienischen Nationalmannschaft mehrfach, dass „Ignoranz“ im Vlhova-Team allgegenwärtig sei und sie sich abseits der Piste nur verschlechtern könne. Zudem stellte er die weitere Zusammenarbeit mit der slowakischen Ausnahmeathletin in Frage. „Ich bin verwirrt, es wäre Zeit - vor allem nach diesem Meilenstein - sich zu verabschieden.“
