What’s the difference between AI, ML, Generative AI, and LLMs?
To kick-off my video series Code to Care: AI/ML Revolution Unveiled, I wanted to start with a short explainer about the many different categories of artificial intelligence.
Since you all asked, I’ll be diving into how this technology works in the weeks to come, but I noticed that many people are conflating these terms together.
Generative AI isn’t the same thing as Tabular AI (for example) and it’s important to know the difference.
Watch below (it’s only a few short minutes) and let me know what you think!
Do you have any specific topics you want me to talk about next?

I used prolog back in the late 1980s. Trying to learn to build expert systems. AI seemed so far away back then. But. you could see it had a chance, given enough time. You're a very good teacher. Thank you.

Great video laying the foundation of terms. Can you cover active inference?

Yes - I will keep that in mind for a future video. But while I'm typing. Training and Inference at the two major sides of the model. Training is the process of producing a model use past data. Inference is the process of using the model with current/future data. So you might train a model to recognize the patterns of patient appointments to determine no-shows. And then inference is the term for when you are using the model to predict no-show probability on future appointments. Hope that helps a bit.
