Oh that hurt. I’m the scared grandpa pitcher. I’m on blood thinner and my granddaughter has popped me a few times. Wish I had a screen to duck behind. Great video. I coached for 23 years and unfortunately saw some parents destroy their own child and demean others. I quit because of these kind of parents. You really nailed it on your parody of coaches, parents and players. It’s funny and sad at the same time.
my parents absolutely burnt me out on softball. practice 5 days a week right after school, lessons 3 days a week, literally weight lifting and conditioning 4 days a week , they just tore me down 24/7 even though i was really good and getting offers to play for highschool when i was in 6th grade. it didn't help that i played travel softball and i had a tournament every single weekend for 8 months straight
Honestly this is like every parent on every team ever. Except sometimes you get the parent who cheers for every kid, volunteers to coach 1st, wants to keep score, and help you carry all the gear to your car. As a softball dad your videos are great.
Santa only comes to people who bat over 100!! That line popped me a dad who coached his two daughters!! My daughters are grown, but this channel brings back so many memories. Good and not so good!! And the best parts of sports.

ok, do another one with different types of parents 2. Gotta include the former athlete/former softball player. I am that parent and have definitely caught myself talking to my 13 yo daughter about my own pitching/travel ball experiences, and other people have also talked to my daughter about my former pitching days- so she gets annoyed occasionally lol. I can personally relate to this!! Lets not forget the parents that: coach from the bleachers the parents that argue with the coach the parents that heckle the opposing team the parents that bring a wagon full of everything for the weekend the parents that kiss up to the umps the parents that are photographers hehehe.
Don’t forget the over reacting parent that freaks out and thinks it’s an emergency situation every time their kid gets hurt…. OR the complete opposite. (which is me) My kid got smacked in the back with a 64mph fast ball and I stood up and yelled “WAY TO WEAR IT BABY!!! GET ON DOWN TO FIRST BASE AND SHAKE IT OFF!!” while she’s struggling to breathe… 🤦🏻♀️🤣
my daughter told me to stop buying her stuff. Most of it is custom with her name, number and team color. She doesn't want to stand out among her friends. Her glove, batting gloves, cleats, and all the extras.I guess I didn't have mostly all of it when i was young.
The one that is I wished we lived closer is very relatable for me but the thing is I try my hardest for my dad to be proud of me and there is always something that makes me get yelled at and I feel like everything I try to do for my dad just ends up me getting yelled at and my coaches love me but I don’t think I’ll ever make my dad proud
Thank god I haven't met many parents like this, but I don't chit chat with parents while coaching games. I have encountered some grating parents who didn't have a clue what we go through to compete. Guarantee these are the same types of parents who don't practice with their kids at all. Parents, work with your kids and continue in off time what we teach in practice. I can't tell you to stop your kids from playing five different sports, but help us out here, huh?

I miss coaching my (2) girls & the sport of Softball a lot. I DID not play baseball as a child or softball as a "guy". IMO - LOL - You're not asking, I get it. First day of a new HS season. Watch who comes out & thinks this is easy. All players I've seen from Basketball have made our team. Everyone who's 1st sport was Volleyball never made it. The one year 3 volleyball players came out - within the first practice this year. A nose on the very 1st throw. A hit to the chest as the team took the field. And, I swear the comment was "there were too many puddles on the field." 2nd day of practice was familiar faces.
I'm starting a petition For Spencer Barbosa, only jayus,Mattie, Carter , boze vs the world,liv,peet monzingo, I amJordi,Juliajnurs, kall me Kris,Morgan gaither, Kendahl landreth. to be bff's who's with meh???(ofc not forced I just think they will get along) Think about it we have the wholesome ones the dumb lovable ones the tall ones the ones who will not let you take a second look at yourself with the mindset "I'm ugly"the storytellers and a depressed nurse and the crazy ones and the funny ones. Meaning they would all fit in because i see parts of this in all of them (I know Mattie liv and Carter are already friends)
If that's really how softball parents talk, I'm glad I'm a soccer parent. And I thought that was bad, hockey is the worst though. Lots of anger issues.
My mom is the team mom so...yeah....she basically said that if anyone doesn't volunteer to be the team mom, she'll be the team mom and the couch(es) said "ok, your team mom"
