6/14/22: This was the most informative of ALL purse hardware videos I've seen thus far. I especially LOVE that you not only show the hardware, but how they're used and the finished product. Thanks so much for going the extra mile to share this wonderful tutorial. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
My favorite hardware is magnet closures and feet. I have used gold chain links from lamp cords for my hardware, the hubby separated them for me and they worked great. A wonderful flee market find. ;)
I was looking at uses for rectangle rings and found your video. I've started to make tote bags but wow yours are on a whole higher level. Absolutely gorgeous bags!!!
Absolutely gorgeous bags. I enjoyed the information. I’m new to sewing and was looking for how to use D rings for an apron strap. Glad I came across your video. Now a subscriber.
I absolutely hands down love your tutorials and video. Your explanation and directions are so clear and concise. Do you have a complete bag making series for absolute beginners. I need and I’m sure there are other newbies too, beginner assistance from patterns, templates acrylic and paper, interfacing, tools Etc. I live in Florida and so fare in the 3 years I’ve been here, there are no handbags classes. So I depend on RU-vid and tutorials. I hope you can help. Pink💞
Omg thank you for this! Ive been searching for hours to find info. I knew some of this but wanted to know more. Im in the research phase of designing a handbag line and everything is so overwhelming. Thanks again
I needed instructions on making an adjustable strap and learned how from your other video, but subscribed and checked out this video. Thanks for the info! I love learning new things! You are fantastic!👍🏽😍
What about evening bags. What is the hardware that holds a long chain strap to the inside of the purse? Part of it is usually flat and can fit between the clutch closure. I'm trying to add a long strap to my niece's prom purse and don't know what to call them. So I don't know where to look to find them.
What can you do to a purse strap that you adjusted to very short lengths and it spreads apart when in use and it’s annoying and I can’t find a clip or whatever to keep it together and right now I’m using zip ties that doesn’t look good?
Thanks Sara, brilliant explanation of hardware, I'm loving my new juki machine, the threading is so different than I'm used to? now I've got it threaded I'm scared to change the thread or sew in case it runs out!
Your videos are so good. Thank you. My question is where to purchase quality swivel hooks and sliders and other hardware. Are you able to list some sources.
Hi there, thank you for the video! My question is a bit unrelated... Would you have any advice for getting rid of scratches on gunmetal hardware? If there is any... I have a new purse and by just putting long strap on to see how it would look, it got scratched! ;( My understanding is that gunmetal is coated metal. It’s not a bad scratch but I’m a perfectionist so it’s hard to let go when I just got this bag after chasing it for a long time. I hope something can be done. I’d appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance!💗🌞😌
