THE PHILIPPINES had impact so much in my life too.. It kinda humbles me in away and appreciate things that we oftenly took for granted, co'z in The Philippines life was tough but you could see that even they'd have little they are still having happy spirit and that blew me away everytime. 😢
You made me cry my dear brother! I served my mission 2004-2006 and I remember going home after I finished it. I had similar feelings and experiences like you did! I can tell you loved your time as a missionary but also the people you served!
Thank you for doing mission in the Philippines. Bless your beautiful heart. I am Filipino who is living in the US for 32 years now but Philippines is home sweet home for me. The simple and relax life are what I miss the most. People are walking around without money but with a big smile and positive energy. Very contagious.
I fully understand how this young man feels. I was one of them 24 years ago. Service has to be one of the highest act of love among human to human interaction.
Every missionary goes through the stress of coming home. A part of you stays in your mission, and it's tough. And a part of your mission stays in your heart. It will always be there. Its tough, even after 10-20-30 years but keep a part of it in your heart and you'll be ok.
Aaaww... Dude you can come back here in the Philippines ANYTIME you want! You can take a vacation or even when get old for retirement.. Kaya mo yan pare! 👊
The Lord loves you! you are always a missionary you are without a nametag because its on your heart! I came home after 2 months because of constant emotional distress that i couldnt get out of... but hey, the Lord wants you well first and he accepts what you did do
Never truly understood how he felt. Until now, when I'm supposed to be on my mission but covid happened and now i cant go back. New Caledonia still holds my heart ❤😭
Amazing. That’s where my parents immigrated from. The people there are one of a kind. The best version of the Philippines. I can see the people made a big impression on you. I hope you had plenty of Laing and rice 🍚 love from Washington state ❤️
