Hi, I remember in my undergrad that the expression for Flux was derived from the fact that the probability of any particle to move left or right was 50%. I am looking for that derivation. I hope some one can help.
same question. I don't get the point that why the flow is in one direction (since for every particle there is 50% probability to move left or right), as he stated dM/dt = flux in- flux out
