I absolutely love that deep red Oxo bot, that really is a belter! The tilted ink was also great, but I love the tiny amber bot that was found. It's such an odd colour, and I do love the various coloured bots. Well done for both of you, and Andy needs some aloe gel for those terrible stings. Well done for Josie on the world cycling adventures. Whether you win or not, the experience is worth the mission. I admire you so much for that, and the garage work looks great. Always make sure to use Skillz paint for those jobs (that paint is great for avoiding the possibility of mould growth). I wouldn't want to see your good work get ruined. Alot of digging today. What a workout. The reddish/purple bottle was different and very nice. Josie, cool to see some of your racing. How about bringing roll on Benadryl for the stings of the nettles. It's a small tubey type container. 😊

Here is Ontario, Canada a fuzzy leaf plant often grows near nettles, looks a bit like lamb's ear. We would pick a leaf and rub it on nettle rash to remove the spikes and sooth the rash. Love all the finds!

Nettles have a nasty bite! Take care and I loved the finds.

For stinging nettle stings… If you crush up the stinging nettle leaves and rub the leaf juice over the stings it’ll ease the discomfort :)

I asked him why he didn’t go over and say hello to you??? He just said that he was unsure that it was you,as it was from a distance. It was down Kent way. If I were there,at that moment,I would have run up to you both right away,and would have tried to make that feline growl that Josie does soooo well🤣🤣😅

Well Josie and Pops, I should have watched. My team lost 2-1 in the final game and went home empty handed. The captain did with the MVP for the playoffs but that is a shallow feeling bonus. I'm still feeling pretty sad 24 hours later. Thanks for the nice video to take my mind off the loss. It may never happen again. Who can say.

Re: the Wine, Spirits and Beer Sellers Defense League. In 1915, stricter laws were introduced reducing open house for public houses and retailers of alcoholic products. Public houses had to close for part of the daytime hours. There were bulletins and posters suggesting that people refrain from drinking on Mondays, amongst other initiatives.The government wanted to discourage people drinking throughout the day. Reducing drinking during the day and in general was, I think, to reduce accidents in factories caused by inattention and increase speed in the factories, etc. The country was relying on factories to produce munitions and much needed equipment to support the war effort. I would suspect the League was started at that time to try and protect their livelihoods. If public houses and establishments that served beers and spirits were forced to close for longer hours, that would reduce the amount of alcohol and that, of course, would affect the breweries… I highly suspect that the League was established to protect their livelihoods. I had a number of family on my mother’s side of the family in both Scotland and in the North of England who were chemists (both producing medicines, etc., and also selling in chemist shops). Other members of the same side of the family were grocers who also sold spirits. There were generations of chemists and grocers. Some were fairly well-known chemists with laboratories. Entire families would be in the business, some working together and others with chemist shops in farther flung towns. There was a family rumour that my mother’s grandfather, who has apprenticed at with a grocer and studied to be a chemist, got in the habit of “sampling the wares”. It became such a habit that my Mom’s grandmother eventually kicked him out. My mother never met him.

You can rub the white pith of an orange on the nettle sting to relieve the pain.

The OXO is defs a belter. It's so thick and wonky, it could be made of boiled sweets!

The OXO is my favorite because of the color. The cracked ink could be a design flaw, which would explain why you have found so few of them. Cool history of the pub flask, 1915 during WW1, hmm.

How frustrating to dig so deep and not have it pay off. I'm glad you found things when you started collapsing the walls! Sorry you got stung so badly by the nettles, Andy. You must be quite sensitive to them. ☹️
