Happy New Year TK!! Man loving those leads! From what I can hear in the video this unit actually sounds quite organic. The tone is very smooth, not that harsh tone usually associated with digital units. I don't know how it "feels" in person if you know what I mean, but from the video the tone is remarkable IMO. Cheers!
I would also of loved to hear it without all that distortion. The sound quality of the amp models are what is the most important factor to me. Effects are a dime a dozens these days.
Seems simple enough. Was the dist. pedal on when you were scrolling thru the amps? Because on the Tweed Model it sounded more distorted than you get from a Fender. I saw an Avid video on this and you can get as deep as you want to with this. Plus you get Pro Tools LE.
I'm just wondering if it's really worth the money. Sure, you get a lot of sound, but in the end your depending on a machine that can easily break down during a gig, while with analog if a pedal stops functioning, you can still improvise. It's cheaper to have an extra valve for your amp than to buy this puppy AND an analog backup. Would you use it live TTK, or is it rather for studio work?
Really good demo TTK! thanx :) would've been interesting to make some kind of comparison between the Eleven simulations and the real thing(s) as you own some of these modeled amps... but perhaps a bit complicated to set up, right? Anyway, thanx for all your great vids, cheers
just wondering if the tone king would be so kind as to dig out someother amps. seem ages since you used anything other than the carvin. though i do think it sounds monster. That engl or perhaps one of those marshalls would be awsome.
hey tone king iv been browsing thrugh vidios of the Hughes and Kettner warp factor 7 pedal and theres no reviews in english it looks treal cool it would be most appricated if you could do a demo on one and to hear your opinyon on it
groovy could you make this quik because eleven rack is taxing my CPU and it's eating the audio from the internet and my guitar isn't even plugged in and protools program isn't even open..
ah the BC Rich Gunslinger. i had that same guitar in black and gold snakeskin. it bums me out that i sold that one. that and a Gibson SL-1 with a funky factory trem never should sold those 2. oh well i know we all have gear we shouldve kept. loved that Gunslinger.
@lmsjr cool man yeah i will admit its a cool unit but to be real im not big on digtal modeling any more i used modeling for a while but it always seemed to lack now that i have my costum amp i feel my search for the holy tone has ended
@suzadurai1 he said in one of his videos a few weeks back that he does that on purpose. Reason being if the base tone is the same you can really tell how each piece of gear affects to tone as a whole. its a better comparison that way rather then having 2 very different base tones then trying to see which overdrive sounds better because it wont be justified. something like that. haha
@proxy69 Try playing one, its the other side of 'Uncanny Valley' (go on, Wiki that) This sounds, feels and plays nothing like a Line6 product. I've had a Pod nearly a decade and it kept me playing while moving around, it was 'okay' but Line6 gear sounds dead next to this, including their new 'HD' stuff. I haven't tried GuitarFX but at nearly five times the cost I'm not going to either - for that money I'd build a real amp or two!
After spending a week clean installing (Boot able DVD) Win 10 (our BEST, most stable Windows installation EVER which means, besides the fact that it's the LAST Windows "upgrade" / Version, there's NO going back!), the Eleven Rack Editor (separate program to remote control the Rack) goes OFF all Three of my Monitors never to be seen again!? I suppose that's AVID in a nutshell so now what? Wait another decade for a Windows 10 update or PAY AVID for a questionable "support" program?
+Prince Westerburg Not a chance, We've just upgraded our project Studio's hard / software for about 25K and despite some "minor" Win 10 update issues etc, everything works super great on the new HP Z640 Workstation..
+Carl Borsing Haha - glad you took that one, sorry I couldn't resist! :o) I use Mac for music only and PC for everything else (which is a lot) Which suits me as I have an Apple that is the music machine and I can forget everything else. Out of interest, how are you finding Win10? It seems everyone that uses it is hooked, its like invasion of the bodysnatchers, they never say why. These comments are the closest i get to social media so would moving from Win7 make any sense do you reckon? A penny...
+Prince Westerburg Not sure if "moving to windows" would make sense for you either, sounds like you've already invested in Apple. For me however, Win 10 is far from perfect, and by that I don't mean cosmetically. For instance I find that our Workstation gets upset every time there's an MS update of sorts and the desktop icons on my currently Three monitors, I will add an 4K big screen LED smart TV for my studio wall later since I watch a lot of RU-vid tutorials, follow Donald Trump for 2016 on RU-vid etc (RU-vid is an intellectual Gold mine). Despite a current restart issue (only seem to happen when restarting) that I haven't had time to research (Fatal BIOS PCIE error on boot). It is the fastest, most stable Windows version yet. Having said that, Will I snatch the first Chinese Win 10 clone available? .. Probably, Microsoft and many other world wide companies has become much like our Government, which BTW is why a rebel like myself wouldn't invest in any Apple product or vote for "Hillary's" Democratic OR Republican buddies for that matter, EVER again.. TRUMP 2016.. :D
+Carl Borsing Oh sorry I live in London, England so I really know nothing about what you speak and I've rarely found anything intellectual on RU-vid either - I prefer reading books. Anyway, I use Windows for 90% of stuff, some Linux boxes as servers and I might switch my web / email box to Linux soon. By trade I'm a photographer and 3D animator so PCs just have the CPU and GPU grunt at a good price point. However I have tinitus from years of PC use. I cannot hear my Mac Pro, its total relaxation. Did you ever think about running multiple PCs? In very big studios you'll find the soft synths split up onto dedicated boxes and this quadruples your data bus width and CPU power while meaning you can run machines in other rooms where they can't be heard. I run Dell T7400 and 5500 workstations as they just work, have dual quad and hex core Xeons and sell for peanuts.
Each of the models sound distorted because he left a distortion pedal on during all of the amp models. Not a good way to demonstrate amp models. Sorry,
