I got the moral ending, and reloaded this point just to see what would happen if I said no. I wasn't prepared for how depressing that ending was. This game is one of the most depressing Digimon games I've ever played.
say what you want but i think its pretty fuckin big balls of The production team and Habumon to add a really BAD ending. like Hackers memory was sad while this one is them saying fuck you for choosing this.
Well, I disagree, if a game gives me a bad ending, I must earn it by giving myself the possibility of being an evil character. In this case, the bad ending feels bitter because of the helplessness of Takuma's, it does not depend so much on Takuma's actions but rather of his omissions and cowardice.
I just love how everyone call him selfish when he behave scare after being told to go back to a place he almost die i actually felt bad for takuma which is amazing because i didn’t care about him at all
To be fair. He is not only bein selfish but also stupid considering that at this point he knows the digital wolrd is destroyer then the real world Will also suffer the same
@@jankasolis61 yeah true he being selfish by not going but he not going to be much help if he cowering ever step oh and if someone scare their run away even if fighting is the better option
Holy crap…..this is incredibly depressing. It’s one thing for a Digidestined in being forced to part ways from his/her Digimon partner but its another for them to be willing to do that.
These kids are not Digidestined. They are just kids who had an unfortunate run in with the Digimon world. They were never chosen to save the world, they just saved the world on accident.
@@mrex666productions7 well, thats true at first for all but miyuki who was chosen by bloodline, but by this point they could be considered chosen by miyuki and in the true ending they wind up chosen by the sovereigns as well. digidestined/chosen children are defined as simply being chosen to resolve conflicts with the digital world and human world or some other purpose... v-tamer taichi was chosen by holyangemon og adventure kids were chosen by homeostats the tamers kids where eventually chosen by yamaki and later by the sovereigns... ryo akiyama is a bit of an odd one tho as he was chosen by homeostasis, 2 different sets of sovereigns, ENIAC and even millenniummon who was the cause of every enemy before last kizuna in the adventure universe except diaboromon & endigomon... diaboromon being a cluster of viruses that became a digiegg(Y2K bug incarnate) & endigomon was the result of kokomon being randomly affected by another unrelated virus. frontier kids were chosen by their spirits savers/dats were chosen by the older members of dats xros wars anime, taiki was chosen by omegamon, christopher was chosen by bargramon, nene and her brother ewan were chosen by axeknightmon. later all of them and many more including the main casts from the previous animes where all chosen by the old clockshop man/bargramon who was also handing out fusion loaders like hot cakes... the xros wars manga, which unlike the other is in v-tamers future, went about the same with nene and her younger sibling(a sister this time named kotone) being chosen by axeknightmon and christopher being chosen by bargramon, but went differently with taiki, zenjirou & akari... og adventure wizardmon made 3 xros loaders based on kotone and taiki's, giving 2 of em to zenjirou & akari and after getting yeeted outside of space-time by zeedmillenniummon where he out where taiki's xros loader came from and completed the time loop...
@@shadowmoon522 Yes but in Survive it's nothing like this. All of them, including Miyuki are literally just chosen to end up as minced meat and it's not the first time this happened. If you hear Jijimon talk about it in Chapter 4 and the old woman talk about it in Chapter 8, there's a mass disappearance. This is not how "the Chosen One" works unlike the Taichi/Takuya case.
I just got to this choice, wanted to check out the bad end, wow, didn't realize Takuma would become Ryo 2.0, "Even if I don't have anyone, so long as I have mom to hold my hand, I'm happy," bro wtf!? Currently on the wrathful path, no spoilers, but the bad end implies that *Spoilers*************agumon met up with the group after returning, everyones happy to see him, ask where's Takuma, "he uh, he stayed back home, he didn't want to return." Could you imagine their reaction, see the guy who threw himself into the fog to save miyuki, just to ditch them like yesterdays garbage? Devs should have done a epilogue of their reaction and fate afterwards to really nail the player for picking such a choice.
@@tyberzann9749 I think most of their friend can understand that was the best for him, especially Minoru. Maybe the only one get raged is Kaito. I dont think they can blame Takuma for that, though they dont know the human world will eventually get destroyed. Im still not finish the game and just entered Part 9 through Moral path, but I can understand their friend will not able to beat out the true boss since Takuma and Agumon is kinda act like Courage to them, thus reason why human world will get destroyed.
Digimon always represented their partner’s potential. So the fact that Takuma rejected Agumon and became a momma’s boy afterwards makes sense as its metaphorical of him rejecting his potential and sense of responsibility.
Yikes...Thats...Brutal. Takuma gets stuck with the curse of having abandoned his duty as a Digidestined, and the world is collapsing. Which means those that remained to fight failed without his help.
It's funny, all the "that's okay, Takuma, you do you" talk from Miyuki and Agumon feels FAR more demoralizing to the player than if they just called him a coward or something. The writers let Takuma's guilt alone convey that to the player, and god damn did it work.
I can't do this ending; It would break my heart to hurt agumon like this, to just abandon them and everything else for my own sake. 💔 I just can't do this ending.
alternate universe as far as I’m or were aware there’s to damn many to keep track of lol . Xroswars did happen so we can shorten it down to some series / worlds being connected but others being their own thing (example : the adventure crew showing up as a tv show in the tamer universe) The only two people or mainly one should I say that get universe hoping titles would be tai from v-tamer granted it was more of a “run” in with Davis from the anime universe and then Ryo who alone shouldn’t even need a explanation he’s like the John wick of the digi destined and is the unsung background hero To explain tais case for new people is long story short without much spoilers tai runs in a area with mutiple bubbles filled with digi destined but upon closer inspection it’s apparent that these kids aren’t even from tai’s on world let alone universe . He runs into Davis from the anime universe and the reason we come to this conclusion is two reasons a: Davis mentions tai being much older and no longer a kid this should already be a huge flag B: he is wearing the goggles Tai passed on to him at the end of his adventure entrusting the 02 crew to carry on the torch even v-tamer tai notices the googles and after small talk Davis realizes this tai is much like his worlds so v-tamer tai does what he does best and sends Davis and everyone else on their way home after everything gets situated Overall sorry for the long comment , my point is this series does exist in its own universe it would be nice to delve into this area more because I personally like the more realistic/ high stakes take this game took with digimon by taking off the kiddie wheels
Depends on what run the player did. The wrathful route would end with Aoi absorbing all life. imagine that reunion the girl you had a possible crush on returns as a monster absorbing people. The Harmony route will end with either Peidmon fusion and or Kaito destroying the two worlds. Oh Kaito would be pissed at you. Aoi might be forgiving but Kaito would not be so gentle. Morale route (Ryo and Shuuji dead/alive) will mostly end normally with everyone dying and the master taking his vengeance on both worlds.
Actually it would just end with the Master taking his vengeance in all worlds, since Aoi and Kaito wouldn't had been ran into the events that got them insane. The Master just kills them and they have nowhere to go, this is it.
That was…so bleak and sad as hell. Oh, god. I can’t let this ending happen. Agumon is such a good friend. To see him cry is devastating. And then, the heavy implication that everyone dies anyway just adds a sense of dread and horror. What a selfish and awful person Takuma is here. This cannot occur on my game.
Agumon went to go catch a fade, and got faded in the process. At least he got his mom to hold his hands, more than we can say for the rest of his clearly dead group
In both the real world and digital world, those who break the rules and laws are regarded as scum. But, those who abandon even one of their friends, are worse than scum. I would never abandon Agumon and to make sure I choose the right option to get the good ending.
And agumon still choose to remain as your partner despite his lil heart breaking apart 💔 selfish asshole doesn't even come close to what this ending is
@@zomboids2100 Right?! Like, I get it, Takuma's just a kid and he's scared. But so were Minoru, Aoi and Saki! And THEY pulled themselves together! So pretending this is the the default or canon ending, what's HIS excuse?!
"I need to go to scientists and priests and tell them about this world and get the army together and stage an organized rescue instead of mindlessly throwing myself back into the meat grinder!"
Idk if I’m the only one. But I’ve definitely misinterpreted a few answers and accidentally changed my path a few times. I can’t imagine how frustrating it would be to accidentally select the bottom option and not have a second chance to change my mind
This game punish you for not choosing what the writer had in mind as the 'best path' (Moral path). First play or Newgame+, Moral path is the only one with the least/no casualty. Regardless, I think Harmony is the best.
Yeah it shows gameplay wise too, if you take Wrath or Harmonious you don't get all the Ultimate partners bar Ryo and Shuuji and Wargreymon is much more useful than Machinedramon and Dinorexmon. At least you can't get the skill that effortlessly snaps you out of status and you can't farm Bananas there.
Well.. At least Agumon not dark digivolve into Skullgreymon :V Joke aside, Agumon really looks so in pain. Its really sad to see he trying hide that as much as he want Takuma happy.
I was almost expecting his mother to kill him while his back was turned. Given the bad ending path, and the brutality of this game, I'm sure she would have blamed all this on Takuma.
Nah, I think that will be Matt (even if they have different digimon, they both have a role of being a Digidestined) job, Tai probably sympathize for him and will understand his decision.
My choice is Marcus. They are at the same age and have the same partner. But most importantly he's actually a good talker when it comes to this kind of situation.
@@CasualBurger-q7r And Marcus actually had a similar choice multiple times! (first episode, then memory reset, then by the end when everyone's like "welp, world's ending, might as well try to stop it from here or just live our lives for a bit, then *again* right at the end of the season with the barrier closing) Of course he never chose to have a "normal life"
Miyuki sprite faces make me very uneasy. Once she look at Takuma like someone possessed by a demon with her big eyes O.O like, never blinking. And then when smiling despite her voice begin to show sadness and agitation due to Takuma announce she still just smile like a calm villain secretly planing something sinister. Really creepy and off putting. Is this only an issue with her or are they others characters suffering of it?
To put it into adventure terms do you remember when tai briefly went to the real world after he and metalgreymon defeated etemon? This the exact same situation only in this ending you dont return thus the villain wins and both worlds met their demise
Everyone. Because Takuma didn't go back they couldn't defeat the Master and both worlds perished. Think about what would have happened had Taichi remained in the human world after they were transported to the Human World through that black hole after Metalgreymon disposed of Etemon. The others couldn't have stopped or defeated Vamdemon and both worlds would perish.
Because takuma (player) refuse to go back to the digimon world. His friends that still inside the digimon world failed to defeat the final boss and both world are destroyed because of the final boss
@@QuirkyBoy it not horror but there are some unsettling parts to the game all but two of the characters can die depending on your choices except takuma and minoru they are deuteragonist
a little dissapointing the "bad ending" is just this. Would have been better with an ending where he turned evil or agumon killed him or something. Instead we are stuck with this lmao.
No no no, that's too merciful. It's Agumon crying and saying the very last goodbye that makes this REALLY hit hard. The regret hurts more than the easy way out.
@@rikajougasaki3296 Well we clearly have different opinions. I dont really care that agumon is crying, Didnt really like the character. All he really does is try to encourage takuma and say he doesnt know how stuff works 1000 times throughout the game. Couldnt care less about him tbh.
@@fragtical8540 I gotta hard disagree with you on your opinion. This IS a bad ending. You essentially abandon those who are still in the digital world to fight(and be killed horribly)while your partner, as brokenhearted they are, still stood by as your partner and wants you to do what you wanted then says their goodbyes before leaving to commit a suicide run to try and stop what's happening. And given the fact they talked about places no longer being safe means the sacrifices have happened and the world is coming to an end; While you run away from the facts *You* caused the deaths of those who were supposed to be your friends. And hell the death of the world itself. I'd think that otherwise tops your ideas as *"bad endings"*
@@zomboids2100 Thagt would work if more was shown and not just told, This dont work for that and other reasons, Its more like a neutral ending than a bad one. WOW mc guy leaves and agumon cries.. I wanted something dark. not something realistic. It doesnt really matter alot cuz all the endings kinda sucked tbh. But bad ending should have been the WORST WAY the game could go, Instead its just MC being a coward.
I agree. The main character had it easy. It would be better if he had his own death scene by choosing the choice to abandon everyone. Instead, he pass his days with his mom, moving from place to place as the world is collapsing. I was expecting he being attacked by a digimon and getting killed on the streets.
This is the best ending. If my chosen partner Digimon was Agumon I'd abandon that disgusting hideous little abomination for death too ❤️ good riddance 🤮 takuma slayed purr 😍
@@sophie0002 that's the point shuuji and Ryo had partners they felt disgusted by and couldn't accept, which is similar to your view of agumon. Which means if you did have a Digimon and it looked like agumon you would be no different than Shuuji and Ryo a person who rejects their partner because they don't match their expectations
