Just received my DigiPower the Streamer 112 LED light panel today. Been quite impressed with the light panel despite it being much smaller than anticipated. I'll give a run down on the settings, some options for longer run times and some footage of me using it outdoors around my property. NOTE: I JUST DISCOVERED YOU CANNOT PASSTHROUGH CHARGE. IF YOU HAVE THE LIGHT ON AND CONNECTED TO AN EXTERNAL BATTERY, IT WILL OVERHEAT!!!

IMPORTANT!!! YOU CANNOT HAVE IT PLUGGED INTO A BATTERY TO GET EXTENDED RUN TIME. IT OVERHEATS AND CAN DAMAGE THE BATTERY!!! SO SORRY I DIDN'T THOROUGHLY TEST THIS BEFORE PUBLISHING THE VIDEO.

It seems too expensive for what it is. Do you know of a cheaper unit with around the same brightness? I need something for portrait photography.

If you search for LED light panels on Amazon, you will find many larger/brighter more expensive units. However, there are a few smaller, brighter units that are lower price. They are made of plastic though so it's not exactly the same quality. Search for Viltrox or Ulanzi brands for some cheaper options.

Can it light a human subject or is this light panel only for smaller objects?

Great question, really, it's pretty small. Great for selfie style photos or videos. You might be able to light an entire subject, but it would be pretty faint light. If you need something bigger/brighter, I would recommend Neewer or GVM. Good price and much higher reach/spread and brightness. They are more money, but that makes sense because they have more LEDs.
