Awesome, thanks for that, do you know what articles he writes. Trying to follow him, but it seems to be more difficult than I would have guessed. Thanks again!
No problem, here's a link to his page on The Guardian! www.theguardian.com/profile/davidmitchell I recommend following him on Twitter, his Articles goes up there and sometimes other nice little bits of infromation. :)
@@HartyBiker "Oh come on why won't it pair? Oh, right, it's paired to your phone, okay, undo that... Okay, now it can't see it. Lemme try to turn it off and on again. Or turn Bluetooth on my phone off and on again. Nope, still doesn't see it. Oh, there we go. What, the pairing failed?"
He's a man, like me, who's well aware of a) his attractiveness, or lack thereof, towards any woman who isn't incredibly damaged and emotionally vulnerable and b) how little leg-work he wants to apply in order to get his leg over.
If you place the time stamp without contact to other caracters (like this: 1:04 ) you can click on it and don't need to adjust the timeline but it then does that automatically ;)
Mate watch :the football sketch, are we the baddies?, can people levitate?, the cheese argument, cheesoid, big talk, small talk, vectron, the British emergency broadcast, everything is fine, those are just a couple great ones in my opinion, also peep show is pretty great, and if you’re hungry for more they more recently released a show on all 4 called Back:)
I’m American and British comedy has helped me get through many months of this suck we are all living through. Garth Marenghi. Peep Show (Super Hans), mighty boosh, toast of London, IT crowd. And of course these guys. So much great stuff out there.
So true! Living in Japan, this is often how Japanese transfer contact or as I like to put it "telephone sex", invariably there is some problem, someone has not turned their connection etc. Invariably, it is easier to insist on using a pen and paper!
This is exactly people in offices work, who feel content when information or some kind of work has been passed on to then through electronic communities and not through talking though they are sitting next to you. .
Cloud storage, technically. Though without any internet connection, I imagine bluetooth is the best wireless way. MicroSD cards being the best physical way, obviously, though some phones don't have a slot for them (looking at you, Apple, and your shitty iPhones).
Yes, I tought of that. That solution has it own problems though. I can't understand why developers still have this 'our own way' attitude. I thought they finally woulcd understand using universal protocols would be a win-win but seems like fierce capitalist competition doesn't make everything better after all...
This sketch was made long before NFC was a thing. People really press their phones against eachother, bevause bluetooth back then really was amazingly shit.
and also, before bluetooth we used infrared. Infrared works similarly like NFC, so that's why he's putting the phone close together like that too since they used to do that with infrared.
donepearce My phone numbers are 5-6 and I live in Shropshire. Not wanting to give too much away the area code is 01952. With a mobile, most will say '07' as matter of couse as that's standard and then reel off the next nine in groups of 3
ppeter1982 You would probably hate me, as I recite phone numbers in what probably seem like arbitrary patterns. This is because I recite as I remember, and I remember phone by rhythms (those these don't necessarily make sense). My own number (mobile), for example, I usually say 5-2-4, though I'll break it down further sometimes.
i haven't used Bluetooth in about 4 years because it DOENS'T WORK! i had a phone once with both Bluetooth and infrared and i found infrared faster and easier and it worked 90% of the time, only time it didn't work was when we didn't hold them together in the right way (infrared had to be connected phone to phone for anyone who doesn't know) and guess which one died out almost immediately. I used Bluetooth for the first time on Tuesday with my 2012 phone and it STILL doesn't work
Be careful guys, don't click on the (Show the comment) button! You'll get lost in a conversation that I think is about 'whom' vs 'who' and also something about relationships...
