Digital Dentures: What You Need to Know

Frankly, 90+% of dentures don’t ever fit well, you lose sense of taste from covering the pallet on the upper and they will move around when functioning and or speaking. If patients are not explained these problems before getting the dentures they tend to be very disappointed. If the conversation happened prior to delivery, patients generally do much better. If not explained properly, patients expect something much closer to their old natural teeth. The digital denture should fit better than the traditional denture. That said, much of this depends on the dentist and lab that do the work. The thickness issue is not related to either digital or analog. You should ask for “THIN” dentures. But be aware that thin dentures are not as strong.

You can make anyway the tech wants it. thick or thin. Dentists are not all equal or technicians.
