Mr. MBE your channel is growing fast as f**k! Congratulations on almost 40K subscribers won't be long before you are at 100k keep grinding and Imma keep watchin'! We Love your content.
This amplifier should definitely be of good quality. It is a half-bridge design and can be strapped for double the power. For the price point, I would expect nothing less. I'd be willing to bet that the damping factor spec that DD lists in the owner's manual is achieved at an nominal impedance of 4 ohms. Typically, damping factor gets cut in half as impedance gets cut in half. So at 1 ohm, the damping factor is most likely 100, which is still excellent. The best thing anybody can do is use the largest gauge speaker wire practical for their subs and keep the run as short as possible. This affects damping factor quite a bit. Next, make sure you have a proper enclosure and finally, make sure your electrical can support the system you're trying to run. CHEAP. RELIABLE, SOUNDS GOOD/GETS LOUD. CHOOSE TWO. You get what you pay for.
Having owned a JP23, Fosgate 1500, and Hifonics 1500, the DD M2000 is my favorite easily. Small, loud, and efficient. Running it on a 270 large case alternator, two d3400 and a d950 and I love it!!!
@@2008guelo trust me I can’t wait. I already got my box from MBE. I have two 2508f that I’m putting in my M8. Just waiting for the amp to come in to bring it to the shop
@M.B.Enclosures - what kind of discount you provide by being an authorized dealer ? I know some people can get nice percentages off. Just an example, a Helix dealer I know can give 25% off Helix products. Looking forward to hearing back. Let me know, Thanks
Hey, off-topic, I've seen the good old boys are sending some more subs down under. When are you gonna make us some magic boxes like him? I want to hit a 143 with a 6.5
Very nice amp. Im currently running a db drive G7 2500.1 and i think it might be the same board as the ds18 hko 2000.1 and maybe the dd m2000. Dampening factor and everything else is very similar. All made in korea
Yeah .. definitely amp matters . I've always tried to run good amps.. you pay for what you get , nobody's in business to " give the public a good deal".. I have subs that are 20 years old bc I've ran them on good power
They have a few powerful options out there. You could go Taramps 2000 x4. You could go DS 18 with the 1600 x4 d. And that boy has 0gauge inputs for a 4 channel. That's nuts lmao. There are a few others I haven't tried but plan too.
Yeah man it was bothering me so I dug out the DS 18 1600x4. This thing pushes 400 watts to 4 channels at 4ohms. 680 watts to 4 channels at 2 ohms. 1200 watts bridged at 2 channels. For around 350-400 bucks that's great.
Salt is a very good amp! 300 amp draw on the 3k salt and the m2500 has a 400 amp draw. I think it just depends on how much wattage you need. I purchased the m2500 thinking I was going to run it at 1 ohm and my dd subs (2x 608f) cannot handle the output of the m2500 at 2 ohm . I way over spent on my charging system (alternator, battery and cable) just not realizing how powerful these amps are.
I have two 8” d4 600rms and a 1500 watt amp why does it want to clip on low bass turned up and the amp wanted to go into protect mode and cut off and back on?
What are you trying to do? Do you want an amp for your door speakers or an amp for a subwoofer? A amp for door speakers, miss and highs, will be a 4 channel amp. An amp for a subwoofer will be a class D monoblock amp. If you ask me I would say JL Audio RD series amps.
It's definitely a good amp but that price is crazy high. That's more than the sundown salt amp when compared dollar to watts and no way its quality is as good as the salt amps. I run 2 jp 23 v.2's strapped for my bass. They are rated 2,800 watts but with proper electrical and wired to a low impedance they will put out over 4,000 watts each. Let me repeat that, each. You can catch them on sale at tax time which is now on sale and then use an extra 5% coupon when using a new email/account and I paid $308 for each amp delivered. On top of it all they have a great warranty policy. So with all that into consideration. It's a no brainer for me 🤩. Shout out to jp for bringing the jp series amps to the industry
Look at the comments okay some dude just talked about a car amps smart 5K outdoing a DDM 8000 a lot of people they go crazy and try to get you to buy into their personal preference and that's all car audio is personal preference if you don't believe me go out and do some research buy a bunch of s*** over the span of 25 years listen and then compare and figure out what you like the best😅😅
great quality amps I have their Bassclef 4K, but I heard they ran out of business the owner is now scamming people by taking their money & not shipping orders out, their website is shut down.
I had a Smart 5k ($500). Then I bought a M8000 ($1400) which I thought it was an upgrade. The Smart 5k hit harder across a big bandwidth and cleaner down low. I lost 2 dbs at 29hz. So I sent it back and got a replacement because I figured it had to be damaged. Nope, the smart 5 was once again better then M8000. I was heart broken because I saved for what I was told was a great amp that looked nice af. So I ended up getting a Smart 8 which shits all over the M8000 for only $680. Save your money and dont fall for the internet amp promotion hype. Dd subs are a different story tho.
I don’t believe it. An amp wit more power, better components, better quality, was worse than a cheaper, low quality parts and components was better? Stop the cap 🧢
@@richardwilson5944 the smart 5 and 8 may both have more power than the M8000 (both are more than 8000w given their multi impedance algorithm). The components have nothing to do with output as well. Quality components means it might last longer. Where the DD will most likely wipe the floor with the taramps would be in its sound quality. Slew rate, damping factor, maybe even efficiency (smart amps are very efficient so this might be a slim chance)
@@danielgresham5082 Yeah but considering DD has better damping and it seems like more power who would take the DD over the Rockford??? It seems like MBRE did so it got me thinking.
