Hey all! Looks like another Megami Tensei just got translated into English! This time its Digital Devil Monogatari: Megami Tensei II for the NES. Got to admit, the switch in game play caught me off guard. It does seem to be super grindy though. May come back to this one later when i have more time.

You should definitely wait. I think there may be some issues with the patch in the current version to iron out, so for now I'd focus on other stuff. It's interesting that this game is often considered a classic in Japan, due to story and ambience in particular; for obvious reasons it was impossible for it to get localized. Well, at least nowadays SMT is a more well-known brand in the West!

Yeah, I'm already playing 2 big RPGs right now. Don't have time for a third anyway. I do want to come back to this or it's remake eventually.

@@MEGABLADEJ Play the NES Original of Megami Tensei 2. It plays way faster. SNES version, while does have automap, is overall much slower.

Been working my way through the Kyuuyaku version of this, which may be my favorite of the 16-bit Megaten games. Still nice to see the NES original get a quality translation.

I can't find a suitable ROM to apply the translation patch, there's always an error :/
