I cant help but to comment that you are a rare gem honest seller! I went to so many digital lock stores and they told me all brands are the same, ask about each brand problems, they say they have never face problems with digital locks before (which is untrue). Thank you for this sharing so that I can purchase the right kind of lock, if you were in my country i'll definitely buy from you.
this guy is the real boss of digital lock. i would buy from him (if i liven singapore? malaysia?), looks like fantastic aftermarket customer service and good personality. thanks!
Thank you for your very detailed and honest information on many brands. I feel that the Samsung push door lock is worth a try after viewing this video. I’ll look at the Schlage too.
Thank you so much for the video. Yale and Samsung brands have been the top choices for most of our customers and most of them have positive experience with them.
Very honest & straightforward video! After watching your video and reading the comments. I chose Philip 9300 over Samsung 708. Mainly is because of the quality, Samsung back cover uses plastic. Hoping for videos on digital door viewer :)
thank you :) really appreciate it. That is a good choice. I really liked the Samsung features. It is cool and nice design too. I am waiting for them to make a full metal digital lock!
Hi. Hands down ur video has been the most comprehensive and insightful. Thank you so much. 1. May I know what is the model you were referring to ? ( the “full alloy” Samsung model push pull model that has a full revision ? 2. And just want to know ur opinion of Gateman WF-20 ?
hello from singapore. well done with the direct, honest, straight forward no bullshit video. good stuff. thx for knowledge and i like your business style and model. brilliant.
@@TheFineLockShop lucky in msia. in spore, people dont call u to tell you got problem. they will scold u. most of the peeps here become more lansi already sad to say. hiaz. keep well and wish you good business bro.
@@clarencethien8131 One word: Good. But on firedoor, door frame usually thicker, i feel it's too near to door frame. Firedoor is heavy so in few years, door will start to sag. Sometimes cause the lock to hit door frame. Got few experience with Yale like that. Headache. But if on landed property, I will prefer 7300 over Schlage.
Thank you Mr. Francis..If ever I will encounter any problem I will consult you. BTW I did not not get the Schlage 6800 becuase they dont have installer. My first choice is schlage. Thank you so much. Stay safe and healthy!
Thank you for your professional feedback!! I'm considering Yale YMF40+ or newer YDM4109. Would you recommend older YMF40 or Newer YDM4109? Yet, I see few different model naming saying YMF40A , 40+, any idea what that means? Can you share which Samsung Metal model you were referring to, that it was coming out at that time? What about Schneider S51? Thanks!!
I have a DP728 and the fingerprint sensor has Failed 2x in3 years. Which digital lock would you deem as a solid and reliable model with the lowest failure rate?
Thank you so much for your video! Do you have any opinion/experience for Lenovo Smart Lock for both gate and wooden main door? Singapore HDB. How about Epic and Solity? To choose 1 from Philips, Solity, Lenovo, Epic, which will you recommend?
Hi I would like to ask hafele DL7600 vs Philips 7300. Which would u recommend ? I am similar with hafele. Wonder if u know . I am looking for a handle lock
Hi! Thanks for sharing your honest and unbias reviews. I'm curious about the Samsung model you pointed out at 1:52 of the clip. Can you disclose it? Thanks again!
Hello. Would you recommend the Philips 5100? Seems to be a solid one from what I've seen. Is the fingerprint scanner good or does it have any Quality issues?
Thanks Francis for such good honest video for us... i am from SG living in HDB and was recommended with Yale YDR50GA for my metal gate lock and YDM7116A MB for my wooden main door. Are these good with not much issues/problems?
Hi informative and compact video. Just hope that you did a more thorough reviews of each model. Question, what about Xiaomi aqara door lock? Any experience with them?
Xiaomi we installed few. Nice feature and body. But wiring and the connector used is different from other lock, feels weaker. Suitable for security door (because hollow inside and plenty space for the wire. For solid wooden door, we want to be careful a bit (cannot repair, no spare part remember) So if security door, yes recommended. Wooden door, we cannot give any suggestion as we do not have it long enough yet. Also, Aqara is not xiaomi. Just that it can use xiaomi app. Aqara is a china brand not related to xiaomi.
Thanks for sharing your unbiased opinion. I’ve listed the brands you’ve mentioned. What digital lock do you recommend for aluminum doors? Any brand will do, I will be using it for storage room one that is reasonably priced. I prefer a rim lock because my aluminum door already have handles.
Hi hi, actually Philips Alpha performs well. It is recommended! As long as you remain on using alkaline battery then it would be long lasting without problems. Please check with your seller which battery is suitable. Using the wrong battery might cause leakage and affect to your lock motherboard.
Hi Francis, thanks for your very honest and informative video. I’m looking for door and gate lock with biometric function. Which model of Schlage and Philips will you recommend?
We do think (from real-use experience) that for the grille, the back part should also have fingerprint. Both Schlage and Philips don't have it. We actually found out that Epic or Keywe will be the most user friendly for grille
Hey, very good reviews and honesty! Helped cleared up a lot of things. Can I also please get your opinion on which one you would recommend. I don't think I require wifi since I won't let anyone in without me being at home but biometric is needed. Are these ones ok? The bottom two has wifi, which maybe overkill but just thought I consider it as well. Samsung DR 900 vs Philips Alpha Samsung DR 708 vs Philips 9200 or 9300 (I read from the comments that you recommended the 9300 over 708 but the 708 seems to be cheaper than the 9300 by RM700. Is it worth that additional?) If there is cheaper but good ones at RM2k and below for a push/pull handle type for condo firedoor, can you please recommend also? Thank you!
708 got 2 version, a small locking version and a strong locking version. I think if differ RM700 should be the small locking version. I definitely do not agree spending above RM2000 for a weak locking system, no matter how advance the digital part is. Push pull below 2K, try for Hafele. But you will get more plastic. And there will be no spare part support. For all the price difference, there are certainly differences. Cheap but good ones, certainly there are some compromise somewhere hidden
Excellent video. Thanks for sharing all the information and your experiences. Sorry you had to help your customers during the wee hours of the night. Cheers 😊👍🏻
Hi! For an old couple of early 60, what would you recommend to them? ….. All we expect are reliable both on electronic and hardware with user friendly. Accessing the door with card and keys would be our primary needs. Of course, if other features are included would be great, such as Bluetooth or password. Am I make sense?
I will recommend add on. Maintain your existing, just add a digital on top. Usual time, don't have to lock the ordinary. But night time sleeping and for long vacation, u can have double locking. Samsung, yale or schlage will do. For samsung and yale, don't choose fingerprint will be fine
Hi, I wanted to purchase Samsung 708, but realised it is actually discontinued. The Samsung 719 looks similar. Is that good? Any comments? Thank you! :D
thank you for the review., it really help. We plan to use smart door lock for our villas. here , we have hard rain during rainy season.. We need the door lock that can remotely from phone, capable to put outdoor with rain. which one do you suggest?
Hi, tks for Yr analysis. Between Gateman wv43 and Samsung SHS 1321, which will you recommend for SG HDB flat, especially if I want to install myself? Tks!
If youre looking for high end quality and security, definitely would be Philips 9300! It usually comes with a getaway which connect to your wifi and enable you to control from far. You can also control your digital lock using the app
Hi Sir, Im looking to get sigital lock, I was about to choose the Yale Luna Pro +, but i saw one of your replies to another user and you suggested Philips Alpha, unfortunately am not sure if this is available where I am (philippines), aside from Alpha, what other philips model you can highly recomend? this is for my house's main wood door. with a standard thinkness appreciate your expert advise.
Hi. Thanks for the sharing. I am currently looking at a brand called SKISET. Can you help advice me if this brand okay and for this particular model SK-13 Digital Lock is it good? Or can you recommend other better one for a security door?
This lock is good. But st guchi is known for no after sales. So if luck is not on your side, it will be a big headache. (Price cheap though). Can consider. Got ups and downs
702E the best among 3. Due to fully auto handle. Fully auto handle is the most reliable. Even tho i highly recommend Schlage product, but 7100 is a push and pull handle mechanism which is not good. But if your door receive direct sunlight then go for Alpha. If not stick to 702E
Hi, bosch is okay. If push pull type for bosch we recommend EL600. You can also check this out facebook.com/notes/bosch-malaysia/advisory-on-purchasing-bosch-digital-locks-in-malaysia/3479509978730153/
Thank you so much for your honest and professional reviews! I've bought Philips 5100 digital lock for my grill door and Yale 4109 for wooden door. Philips work completely fine so far but the Yale 4109 has been a nightmare for me and my family since the Day 1. Its fingerprint roller latch couldn't read our finger print all the time, probably 8/10 times are not working so we've been using passwords to enter for months. Now that the seller allowed us to change the lock so they recommended us to take Yale 4109A with latest one-touch finger print scan, do you think that's a wise choice? Other than that, they also recommended us to take Philips 7300 and Samsung 609. We are very happy with our Philips lock so far but my concern is can we have the same brand for both grill and wooden door due to security measure? Can you please advice, thank you in advance! May you have a nice day, Mr Francis.
Hihi. 4109A is an improvement due to the vast complaints of fingerprint reader. But it's still new so we can't gather enough feedback yet. Philips 7300 is okay. There is no problem of using same brand so don't worry. Samsung 609 don't.
@@TheFineLockShop Thanks for your prompt response, appreciated a lot! Will get Philips lock instead. I read some of your old comments here on Philips 7300 about its handle with thumbprint wiring, would Philips Alpha make a better choice than 7300?
What is the brand you were pointing to? Please, the one your friend in Malaysia whose been on business for 10 years and never had problem with that lock
Hi like your honest video on this digital lock . I’m looking for 1 but not sure which one is the good and better quality type. Can you recommend which type and brand to purchase?
Hello Vangie, you started selling smart locks in 2012 just thinking about selling some in the UK...what will you say the growth has been like in the industry? And what will you say is the number 1 reason why people are refusing to switch to smart locks?
Thanks for your video! I'll be getting a Philips 9300 for my front door but was wondering if you can recommend a weather proof digital lock for my back door? It gets wet from rain sometimes when it's extra windy..
