Meg, thanks so much for sharing! I have been doing digital lessson plans since I started teaching...14 years! However, I just used MSWord until my district started implementing Google. This is where I really took off. I link math lessons, I've taught myself to do a lot, but I didn't know about the outline. I always just type over my previous lessons. Now I plan on making monthly folders so that I can refer to my plans any time I need to. I have shared my lessons with my teammates and administration, but it is not a requirement as of now. You're motivating, funny, and a breath of fresh air. Thank you.
I have been looking for something like this. I do love my written planners...but my problem is that in my home school, my hubby does not often look at my planners. So I have decided to also incorporate digital planning in Google Docs to share with my husband. That way if I am sick, or out of town on a craft fair he knows what the schedule is. This was a great video. This also saves ink and paper for other things like printing out homemade stickers etc :)
Love to see modification for EL plans with content coteaching. I am moving to digital planning format with coteachers to assist with limited or no common planning time.
This was fabulous and super helpful! I've been using powerpoint for creating my lessons so that I can see the pages on the side and to keep using my cute fonts! But on the flip side I miss out on being able to access my plans from anywhere and I couldn't share them as easily. The document outline you showed is a game changer though and that will help me feel much more organized!! Side note- you can get cute fonts for Google Docs by getting the add-on Extensis Fonts for FREEEEE. But I loved this video and I love your attitude and hint of sass. I'm currently going to go follow you on social media so I can know more cool tricks. Thanks :)
You are really calling your special education department your "sped" team? In my part of the world, that is very derogatory. Loved everything else in your video though.
I am looking to use this with windows and am android. Will it be just as simple? I've never written a lesson plan. I'm using this to teach holistic healing online.
