Thanks Fazeel - Good question This can get confusing because you'll find every company/industry has a different definition of these metrics For example SAAS companies often refer to their CAC (customer acquisition cost) However in industries that do use CPA as a metric, some businesses may refer to "acqusition" as acquiring a paying customer Other people may refer to it as simply acquiring a lead Always best to check first and agree a common definition, otherwise it leads to misunderstanding in teams I try to use CPL (cost per lead) for measuring lead cost And using CPA (cost per acquisition) for measuring the actual customer acquisition cost Hope that makes sense!
