My man you're hilarious! 2:52 had me dying 🤣 Seriously though this channel is awesome. I've never had the pleasure to work with the panels yet but I'm so intrigued by the degree of difficulty and high risk. Pulling off these installs to me just seems like the mark of a master tilesetter. From the size and weight alone, to the tools and skills required to cut/fab, to the substrate tolerances needed to even put a panel on the wall, to the knowledge needed to get that TCNA compliant install it's just really impressive. You have a knack for teaching. I can tell you're highly intelligent(probably a math wiz based on how easily you gave instruction on using the laser, the offsets and what not) and very well spoken. Your explanation is clear and concise. I have confidence you'll achieve whatever you set out to do with this channel! I found you from I think a comment you left on one of Tile Pro USA's videos. You two are both killing it in the panel game and I'd love to just be able to keep learning more about it. I do remodels. We don't tile everyday and I never get to see people doing panels in the Phoenix area so this channel is extremely valuable in making me a better, more well rounded tradesman, even if people want to call us remodel guys cowboys and pretend like we can't do solid work or wont put in the grueling hours of self education to do the best job we can!

Great video! Couple tech related questions though. I started with the LT55 when it came out. Now using the LT2D3D which has been money. So how did you shoot the floor and ceiling accurately without using the green dot matte tape? Also, theres no way you shot that close to adjacent walls/floor/ceiling without using the black filter. I'm guessing you were just giving the basics? Either way, great video!

Thanks for the comment and view. A key detail is always double checking dimensions pre/post measure. You may get better at knowing when the laser stretches or gets absorbed. With the old software I could tell pretty quick if i was off. With Raptor a few clicks will alert you issues. But as always, double check. The wall in the video had old dirty paint that gave good reflection for measurements

ive been using this system for about 1 month now and I hate it. it is always off by either 1/16 to almost 1/4. the software is great but I still need to use autocad to prepare for cnc. and how the hell am i supposed to measure a circle or weirdly shaped sink if the laser cant get to it. honestly I cant wait for the proliner to arrive. I had big expectations for this system but honestly I had to go back to measuring old school with long levels and and squares... not to mention having to verify every single measure the laser takes and adjust on the software. its just not accurate unless my tape measure is off....

I am going to cite user error my friend. If you are using for just one month, you might be missing a step. did you buy second hand or direct? Reach out to your rep or laser products for additional training. There is also a setting that allows for rounding up or down on measurements. Might wanna look for that setting. There is good reason why 2d3d’s are so heavily favored.

If you're off by 1/4 that is way too much, something is not right 1/16-1/8 is the max!

@Porcelain Panel Pro yeah possibly, the only issued I have experienced lately is my tri pod seems to not hold the laser head completely in place when i tighten it seems like it's not firm, at my prior company they had an older tri pod model and it seemed to be better than these new ones
