Just take the batteries out or press on the F/C button for 5-6 seconds to reset it.

And the TP53 need 1 more AAA battery.

I like the TP-50 more as it only uses 1x AAA battery and since I require the hygrometer function more it also has larger prominent digits for the hygrometer. Most households today already have a thermometer built into their thermostat in every room where there is a baseboard heater.
