Digital transformation for a more efficient social protection system in Cambodia 

📲 Digital transformation in the social protection system of 🇰🇭 Cambodia contributes to better transparency and accountability. GIZ’s Improving Social Protection and Health (ISPH) project, funded by 🇩🇪 Germany and co-financed by 🇦🇺 Australia, supported the National Social Protection Council (NSPC) to develop the Digital Transformation in Social Protection Strategic Plan and to draft the first three IT policies in social protection: (1) Interoperability Policy, (2) Information and Cybersecurity Policy, and (3) Data Protection and Privacy Policy. These will provide the framework to further develop the identification and registration process of poor and vulnerable citizens, their access to social protection services and benefits as well as feedback mechanisms.
