This thing just brings out the 80s tone all day. Using my Cort G300 Pro with JB in the bridge plugged straight in, no boosts. Mics are a Sennheiser E609 on a Mesa Black Shadow MC90 and a GLS Audio ES57 on an 80s era Celestion G12T-75.
@@alexmortar Yes, it has two 12AX7s that it can use for distortion. It doesn't really have a tone stack though, you just use a graphic eq to tailor the sound. You also can't run the eq before the gain stages, at least not that I am aware of.
Have you had to do any maintenance or repairs to keep that 2101 working? I have one in a rack case down in my cellar, I haven't played through it in 15 years 😬
@@shawnhedrick3570 The only thing I did was to replace the battery and the output level knob since it was kinda noisy. Other than that, it works great. It bet yours likely still works just fine. Dig it out and see. Oh yeah, I upgraded the ROM to the newest version as well. Would love to add the processor expansion card to it but those are hard to find and usually not cheap.
