Good review, but i would not recommend that method. I cannot imagine how long that is going to take you. You would give up. I know you know what is better. I also know you know more than me about the max scan resolution that is effective. After many years i managed to go through all my 35mm slides, negs , photos...the only way i managed it was by setting up my scanner next to my pc and every day i would scan a few. Took me a year but i just got into routine by having scanner set up all the time. I know you know better than me anyway. My epson photo scanner did a great job
It is just one of the options available to you to get your old pictures into your computer. You would still need a scanner for photos on paper. The problem with scanners is they will not scan at higher resolutions for film, they tend to be much lower resolutions unless you have a professional scanner. This makes a 22 megapixel image of your film slides and negatives. Plus, this only takes a second to do each picture, I was going slower for the demonstration purposes! The slowest part is swapping the negatives, which is also slow on a scanner, but again seconds. You are right though, if you have a large quantity of these it is about pacing yourself so you don't get sick and give in.
