Marines from Detachment 1, Communications Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 45, 4th Marine Logistics Group, transfer the remains of U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Humberto A. Sanchez of Logansport, Indiana, Sept. 12, 2021 at Grissom Air Reserve Base, Indiana. Sanchez was one of 13 U.S. service members killed Aug. 26, 2021, as the result of an enemy attack while supporting evacuation efforts for Operation Freedom’s Sentinel in Kabul, Afghanistan. Sanchez was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, California.

My heart is heavy for his family and I appreciate his service. I would also like to say something about Kalitta Airlines, their crews, and management people. I have known this company since my days in Air Freight at Dayton Airport in Ohio, and met Connie Kalitta and his son Scott as they established their enterprise. At the time, Connie made it known that transport of military members KIA could be transported without charge using their aircraft, pickup to delivery. I don't know if many people understand the cost of doing this, but their family absorbed it out of respect for our military, heroes and all. Thank you crew of N227CK for your work and dedication.🙂❤

God bless our military officers and their families who put their lives on the line for our country and our freedom, my grandfather and my step dad and uncle all served in the army , my grandfather served in ww2 and both my step dad and uncle served in Vietnam

Was a very awe inspiring expierence being 1 of the 10,000 members of Indiana Patriot Guard riders to escort our beloved Marine to his hometowns final resting place. Forever grateful for your sacrifice Patriot Umberto and proud of all who was part of this awesome display of Patriotism and community support. RIP, Thank you for the video.

From a Desert Shield/Storm veteran, I feel that my generation of Marine warriors let our future generation of Devil Dogs down. We let Saddam Hussein get away… We effectively went into Iraq about a decade later and paid severely… Prior to that, we went after Osama bin Laden for 9/11… We ended up staying in Afghanistan and while 20 years of work went to 💩, 13 service members paid the ultimate price. Rest in power, Marine. SEMPER FI!
