Ravikiran and Madhusudan, Great work. All three videos so far thoroughly awesome. Your narration and rendition taking us to Dikshitar Era and I feel like visiting temple along with Dikshitar himself. Camera work needs special mention ,- world class especially top drone shots and prakaraas captured with right natural light. Eagerly look for next part... Great job team, you ate true ambassador s of our tradition 👏 😀 👍 ❤️
A very important documentation of Dikshitar from the best contemporary talent, for posterity. It will be immensely useful for generations of Karnatic musicians.
Namaskarams DKD Team, Very greatful to the whole team, to have given us isai and urai virundu with the the best quality audio and video effects. I eagerly wait for each episode. The music and explanation go so well, we just feel like we were transported to the kshetram. The kaveri pol odum saveri captivated us, while the stala puranams enriched it. As the concept bring very true to mudduswami dikshitar's composition with Subbarama dikshitar's SSP versions, the swaram passage rendered made it very special. Thanks again Ravikiran ji, Madhusudhan ji and the whole team.
I have no words to thank Ravikiran, Madhusudhan and the The Dikshitar Collective to create such a brilliant tribute to the amazing mind of Sri Muthuswamy Dikshitar and his breathtaking compositions. I sincerely wish that all schools and colleges initiate their students into the precision of his notations and the philosophical implications that arise from such structuring. I am sure it will help all students to understand mathematics besides of course the sheer pleasure of listening and the joy of immersion into the larger spiritual realms with your renditions. Keep the good work going.
Wonderful episode & being my ancestral home town, Mannargudi ruled by Rajagopalaswamy became more beautiful after hearing this composition & narration! Kudos to both of you & the whole team behind this work.
A marvellous presentation of divine carnatic music combined with lyrical beauties of Muthuswamy Dikshitar on Sri Rajagopalaswamy- of Raja Mannargudi, the wonderful with remarkable architectural beauties of Hinduism of 12/13th Century..small temple town which is my own birth place.. Enjoyed thoroughly the full clip of 33 minutes, as it took back to my childhood days- nostalgic feeling of every bit of the town.. enjoyed the explanations on Saveri raga, the niceties and nitty gritty of the raga, having come from a family ( maternal side ) of a Carnatic music musicians ( my mother was a Veena teacher and ran a music school ( Shri Kamakshi Sangeeta Kalashaalai) in Mannargudi itself during late 1950s to mid 1960s-..and myself a mridangam player and can sing as well being from a music family… I believe there should have some restrictions on the size of video, else you could have covered one other most famous kriti “ CHETA SHREE BALAKRISHNAM” in the raga DWIJAVANDHI… which was also composed on Shri Rajagopalaswamy as well, and which many yester years stalwarts of Carnatic music used to sing in their concerts-
Absolutely! a divine & unique way of presentation, highlighting the greatness of Kshetras and glorifying the presiding deities with narration and classic Carnatic music. ❤🙏
Addictive Sangeetham, visuals transporting to the other world.. Sublimating espousals.. what else one needs in life than this - viewing your channel of Gems!
The grandeur of this kshetram is so beautifully out. One can visualise and experience the richness of Rajagopalaswami at dakshina dwaraka. Thank you so much
Wonderful effort. Kudos all those involved. All aspects of this video are wonderful - singing, research, explanations, videography, sound. Great to see Sri Madhusudhanan Kalaichelvan here. I was introduced to him via the videos on Ragamalika TV. His elucidation of verses there is exemplary and his chaste Tamil is a pleasure to listen to. A couple of requests: 1. Is it possible to have a Tamil version of this (I understand English has a greater reach in India and globally, but still...) 2. While these videos will be available on RU-vid, can they also be made available offline (paid download or CD)?
Amazing experiences of visiting the temple and learning about the krithies!! Visual and auditory bliss!! Thank you 🙏🏼Looking forward to more such videos!
namaskaram very soul touching may we visit in this birth directly or not you made me to see and travel in your vedios .we are blessed. may god bless your team and do it in tamilzh also.
So beautiful, and I enjoyed it all the more as I had visited the temple for the first time in my life some weeks back. It is such a majestic place. In this video, I would have been happy to learn more about the temple layout, architecture, Sannidhis, paasurams associated with the temple as someone has pointed out, and the temple traditions both unique and the ones common with other temples. I'm glad this is in English, because a larger section of the people in the country can appreciate this beautiful kshetra, its cultural significance, and place in history. I'm looking forward to watching upcoming episodes and what is already there. Do consider making longer videos covering more things.
Enjoyed thoroughly the description and Beauty of the raga Saveri. Thanks to both of you. Bless you to continue in your journey in this DKD and many such.
very beautifully narrated it shows your passion and dedication RAVIJI to understand the actual feel of composer.... HUBLE PRANAMS ( Srilalitha Chandrasekhar )
A small correction - Rajagopala swamy does not hold a whip in his hand. What he holds is called a 'saendhu' which is used by cowherders to bend down the branches of trees for the cows to feed on. Superb Saveri!
There's no Divya Prabhandam dedicated to this kshetram. None! That's why it's only known as an abhimāna kshetram. It is said that when the Azhwārs arrived here, they were so mesmerized and overwhelmed that they lost their consciousness, never to recollect anything they saw!
@@heythere6899 Very nice presumption. Or they might have sung Paasurams but they were lost in antiquity. That's also quite possible. Sri Thyagaraja has sung lakhs of Kritis , but only a few hundred alone are in Vogue.
Ravikiran hats off to your efforts. This video is totally captivating, educative and truly brings forth your desired outcome splendidly.....these are gems which will keep students going😍🙏
Did you know one more thing about this Gopa- Krishna ( Cowherd Krishna ) ? The Archakas are so skilful while dressing Him that they Use just ONE VESHTI of 9 Cubits ( 9 முழம் ) and cover it for the Lord's Dhoti, Uthriyam as well as His Head Gear ( முண்டாசு ) , all in ONE Dhoti.
