@@SuperYachtDreamer i subbed. the people parking this vessel, did it with skill. those are tight quarters. almost like driving a bus in a slalom. yet they seem to have done it perfectly. those fenders are MASSIVE
Arwo thanks for replying, but what a waste of money 💰 I guess they have a lot of. I use to work on cruise ships and when we are doing crossings, we would have no passengers on board just crew and we get to enjoy the ship and all the activities. Do the crew get to do the same ? On the yacht?
I was driving it that day and I tell you...could I find reverse??? How we all laughed when Usmanov came running downs the stairs covered in charlie cos' he was doing lines at the time
Don't mean to be a smartass, but sometime, give or take a few years, once we get a major stock market correction, this Abramovitch fellow might just be willing to give it to you if you ask him nice enough. Not sure you will be able to afford the gas though.
Seems like he could have pulled in at about 8-10 knots, hit the front thrusters full reverse and at the same time his the rear port thrusters and swung the ass end around. Then full reverse and done. 2-3 minutes tops.
Is outside lack luster intentional as a way to play down the size? Hope it looks better on the inside! And is it, or the tripod that’s, listing or leaning to one side?
It might be difficult to comprehend just how humongous this thing really is, until you notice how comically small the crew are even when compared to just the flag.
fuel capacity is 427696 liters ( 112985 us gal ) , burns 1300 liters per hour at 16 knots .superyacht.link/Yachts/Dilbar/Unbranded/files/downloads/attachments/Dilbar%20Unbranded%20Spreads.pdf
Crew on the swim platform seem to be wandering around wondering what to do. Pretty sloppy dress as well. As a former large yacht captain would love to know why it takes 45 minutes to dock it.
Lol really? It's a ship, not a yacht. Over 50 crew. You take it easy don't rush. Not some small boat where you pull up and throw a couple lines on. Come on bud.
"....and we have accountants to pay for it all......" Bizarre thats for a guy to whome time must be money.... every minute counts.... this job must be done with so such care . I wonder how much fuel was used whilst standing out in the open? They would hardly shut down the engines until correctly moored. Do they have troliing engines?? Usually put em in gear and they are doing 15 knots... when they get that big.
The guy running comms on the stern is a joke. Standing on lines, jumping, walking in snapback zones. Unreal. HOW do people like him get jobs on prestigious yachts like Dilbar.
