Urdu is a language that originated when Pakistan and Hindustan were one country. It was (and still is) spoken predominantly by Muslims in South Asia (mainly Pakistan and some regions of Hindustan). When the two nations lived as one, the majority of Northern Hindustan (today Pakistan) was Muslim and spoke Urdu. This is why the national language and Lingua Franca of Pakistan is Urdu. Also Allama Muhammad Iqbal (national poet of Pak) was born there and he was and is the main inspiration for Urdu.

His Urdu is not all that difficult to understand at all, this is the type of Urdu spoken my many people in Pakistan. None of the words he uses are unfamiliar to me. Yet, his command over Urdu language is superb, his delivery eloquent, his words selection beautiful.

@shaleemn but that doesnt change the fact that the native base of Urdu is Lucknow. It has nothing to do with Pakistan on an ethnic or indigenous point. You can argue that Arabic is a Muslim language but many ppl speak it who are from other faiths ..language and religion are separate things
Yes it's true brother language cannot be related with any religion or faith ,yes majority of people may speak particular language but it's doesn't mean it's belongs to them, language is universal

True .. a lot of the pasthun brothers and families migrated long time back to parts of India ... some have lost the knowledge of speaking pastho and some speak it till now, but no one can doubt it, that those are still Pasthun people.

Being fair does not mean anything. ALLAH gives beauty, health, knowledge, wealth to whom ever he wishes to give to. Just because majority Pakistani are fair does not mean you are better then Indians. Beauty is all GOD given. One should never feel proud of their looks. We are all created the same way and at the end we will all have to return back to GOD.

Pakistanis are very goodlooking people even the darkest of them is very beautiful. But in the end your conducts and your dealing towards humanity count not your looks. There is a proverb that says like this"The Jew girl is the most beautiful, the christian boy is the most handsome and the beautiful old people are muslims."......and it says all.

It's true bro - sorry to let you down but in many areas we have fair people but predominantly in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. That's the province in which Pathans (Pukhtuns) and their skin tone is very fair. Check out Kalash people for example, who also live in the Northen Tribal Areas of Pakistan. There are lots of them too by the way. But it's true that physical beauty means nothing - inner beauty is what Khuda t3ala looks for within us humans :)

Shilpa. To those who think that majority pakistani are fair are living in their own fantasy world! There are fair people no doubt, but majority is a complete exaggeration. There are alot of dark people! It just so happens that India's population is 10-12x Pakistan's so, it seems they are fairer. Not the case at all!
