Back in 2019 Dimash held his first solo concert in New York City at the Barclay Center. Fans from over 60 countries came to see his first concert in America. This song is very special to Dimash, it being a traditional Kazakh folk song. And when he sung it to a packed house in America, and when the crowd sung the chorus back to him, once again it brought tears to his eyes. It was a very special moment for both Dimash and his Dears. The entire concert was breathtaking. Can’t wait for his return to America so I can once again see him perform live on stage. Thanks from another wonderful reaction.🎼🎶🎤🇰🇿❤️🇺🇸❤️🌎❤️🙏🏼👏👏👏
Imagine giving your first concert in your country, and 30,000 people show up! Did you notice Dimash's inner-ear pieces failed at the beginning of the song; he signaled to his team but ended up going it alone! The video on Gloria Wu's channel gives the background of the true story of this poem/song's origins. "Adai" is the piece played on the dombra before the song. Lovely reaction.
Adagio is another song from the 2017 Singer competition which is beyond excellent and he plays the piano at the beginning. Love your reactions to our wonderful Dimash! Also your positive statements in general!
Dimash got particularly emotional during this performance. He had always dreamed of performing this traditional Kazakh song to a large audience and his dream was fulfilled. Loving your reactions to Dimash. ❤

His emotion at the end of the song is so moving... and the control he had is so impressive... He is very proud of his Kazakh culture, and loves sharing it with his audience. What an ambassador for his country! We came from more than 60 countries to attend his latest concert in Almaty, south of Kazakhstan in September. Seeing him in concert is an extraordinary experience; seeing him in concert in his country is something else, the next level.
As alaways, great reaction. This song, like so many others Dimash performs, brings tears to my eyes. The song occupies a special place in Dimash's repertoire. "Daididau" has long been considered a folk song. However, after studying the poetry of Magzhan Zhumabayev (1893-1938), philologists concluded that this is one of his compositions. Magzhan Zhumabayev was a Kazakh Soviet writer, poet, publicist, teacher, one of the founders of the new Kazakh literature. His poems, songs, and other works, written before his first arrest and exile to Siberia in 1929, have been preserved and they are well known. Almost nothing is known about the works written in Siberia. In 1929, when Magzhan Zhumabayev was separated from his wife, Zuleikha, and imprisoned, she followed him. She went to great lengths to get him released from prison in 1936, even asking the famous writer Maxim Gorky for help. During his imprisonment, Magzhan Zhumabayev was lied to and told that his wife had abandoned him. After his release in 1936, he learned that she had always faithfully loved him. Magzhan Zhumabayev was imprisoned again and shot as an enemy of the people in March 1938. All of Kazakhstan knows this song and the true story. This is deeply personal and important to Dimash and his country. The coat Dimash is wearing is a traditional garment called Shapan. The instrument featured here is the dombra, one of the most ancient musical instruments in the world. Its first cave paintings date back 4,000 years. The dombra is a pear-shaped, long-necked lute of the Kazakh people of Central Asia and is considered Kazakhstan’s national instrument. It is made of wood and has a slender long neck with fourteen gut frets and two gut strings. The instrument was traditionally used to accompany epic poems and folk songs, but now virtuosic instrumental pieces are also common. One of the greatest dombra players was the Kazakh folk musician and composer Kurmangazy Sagyrbayuly, who had a great influence on the development of Kazakh music culture, his musical composition 'Adai' is popular in Kazakhstan and abroad. Dimash says that every Kazakh child learns this instrument and in his family, playing this instrument is a must. Directly behind Dimash, in the orchestra, you can see Olzhas Qurmanbeck playing the kobyz. You can also enjoy him in a few of Dimash's other performances, such as Qairan Elim (official music video), Samaltau (2020 Tokyo Jazz Festival), and of course prominently featured in the performance of Stranger.
Dimash IS music. 🎶🎵❤ Even without understanding the language, when you know the back story it becomes impossible to forget this song. Once upon a time there was a poet (Magzhan Zhumabayev) who was very much in love with his wife. Her name was Zuleikha Kurmanbaykizi, and his nickname for her was "Daididau"...
The emotion he puts in his songs.! Amazing! It needs a great heart to be able to do that. To me his emotional abilities are as stunning as his vocal abilities. Thank you for your reactions. Its a pleasure to watch Dimash with you.
He actually says "Daididau ay ", the "ay" is like a "my" and Daididau is a nickname a lover called his wife. There are no real word for Daididau in english, but we could say its something like honey, darling etc. "Daididau ay" is basically "my darling"
Lovely to see you discover and being impressed by this outstanding young artist. If you'd like to see Dimash play an instrument, River of love, you must see. It was written by his friend Renat Gaissin and became a known beautiful tune(originally on piano I believe, but don't quoteme me on that). Apparently one day in their studio Dimash started to play it on the dombra and gave it a ' new life'. Renat adjusted the arrangement and they recorded it, adding Dimash vocalise sound to it later. It's on my playlist , I love it. See you next time, greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rck2vaf1HaI.html
Dimash always takes us on a journey with his song, each of his songs is a real gem, even a cover will interpret it in its own way, Dimash has one instrumental track he plays on dombra, there he only slightly enters with his voice at the end, it's called River, maybe you'll be He wanted to react to this because Dimash is hard to choose because he has so many great songs, thank you very much for your reactions and best regards.
This was Dimash’s first solo concert (at Bastau) After his success in China at I Am Singer competition, his country put on this solo concert for him. There were 45,000 people in the audience. It’s an amazing 3 hour long concert (which is on Dimash’s RU-vid channel). It is absolutely incredible. We get to see him perform with his parents, who are also famous singers in Kazakhstan and also see him performing with his male and female vocal coaches (who are also famous singers in Kazakhstan). Many reactors react to the whole concert spitting it into a few parts. All of Dimash’s performances are amazing in his first solo concert in 2017.
@@2genreactions You really need to know the backstory of Daybreak before you react to it, otherwise you may end up reacting inappropriately as so many others have when someone referred them without being considerate enough to supply the information. You can find the background story of the song by accessing Dimash's Chinese performance of it first on Gloria Wu's channel, or by doing a google search of "Backstory of Dimash's Daybreak."

Muchas gracias por reaccionar a este maravilloso artista que como tú dices no es solo su prodigiosa voz, sino su interpretación ya que siempre entrega el alma. El tiene la capacidad de trasnportarnos a otra dimensión.
This song is something of an informal / folk national anthem in Kazakhstan, and very meaningful to the people on a number of levels. It is based on a poem /letter written by imprisoned ( and then executed, in 1938 ) - Kazakh poet and national patriot; Magzhan Zhumabayev to his wife; Zuleikha. He was falsely accused, by the Soviets, of being a spy and a traitor. The love between him and his wife, nickname; Daididau (something akin to: 'darling of mine' ) was epic. They had gone through a lot when younger to be together. While his wife was frantically travelling to meet with any official whom might get her husband released; he was told she had forsaken him and found a new love. He died never knowing the truth. This poem was set to music and quietly circulated across the whole country - even though officially any reference to him, his name and his writings were supressed and purged, until several decades later. Dimash was very honoured and humbled to be able to sing it to and with his audience. ❤
Hermosa reaccion a Dimash el es increible tiene que reaccionar a Ave Maria la cancion que le compuso Igor Krutoy es magnifica la interpretacion . Saludos
Dimash once said he dreamt of us! This is his dream come true. To have an international audience learn and sing this song with, and to him. I took me a few watches to truely feel this song but I particularly adore this performance now. 💞🦌
He also sang this at his Arnau concert in NY December 2019, together with the international audience. Highly recommended, the whole concert. It's here on YT. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Eb2ijQSi79c.html&ab_channel=RainbowSheltie
@@peterpritzl3354 yes I believe he does it most, if not all his concerts, but this was the first one, or so they say. I wasn't there so I don't know for sure.
Yes, you are right, our beloved Dimash is from another world. He is such a kind heart and beautiful soul... Thank you for the reaction. Waiting for the next one. Wish you all the best.
This concert was very special to Dimash as it was his first large scale concert in Astana in front of his countrymen and fans from around the world (30,000 people) after his success on The Singer in China in 2017 and his launch on the global stage when he was just 22 years old. The concert was titled ‘Bastau’ (Beginning). As you can see he was very emotional and so proud to be showing his Kazakh culture. The concert ran for about three hours and was supported by the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. His performance of Daybreak in the concert is amazing - the song composed by Chinese singer Han Hong is based on a true story of parents saving their child in a cable car accident in China, it’s heart wrenching. In real life Han Hong ended up adopting the child. @@2genreactions You don’t have to react to it but if you want to see him playing the piano, there’s a video of Dimash playing a longish piece of The Story of One Sky. It’s on the “Dimash Iran” channel. He’s in leather and has a beard. You’ll hardly recognize him.
