It’s no secret that Eric Carmen used melody of Rachmaninov’s Piano concerto 2 ( 2nd part named adagio sostenuto). In fact the song All by myself were written by two composers- Eric Carmen and Sergei Rachmaninov. I think the magical instrumental interlude reminds us about this fact. В. Поэтому у песни All by myself фактически 2 автора - Eric Carmen и С.В.

i've been really missing yr appreciation of dimash, although i understand there's so much talent out there to explore, as well as multiple preferences from yr audience. just know that yr emphatic & expressive enjoyment & interpretations of dimash's performances are very much appreciated. PS: i can't recall off the top of my head if i've ever seen you reacting/analyzing anything from daryl ong (as a solo artist at least) on here before... i would so love to hear what you make of his naturally warm, rich tone & his rather impressive vocal agility. he's reignited an appreciation for epic '90s r&b for me as of late. if you've never seen them, i hope to see what you think of his very recent bryan mcknight medley, or his slowed down r&b cover of magic's song, "rude"... especially the latter one. it really changes the whole mood of the song (& for the better)! thank you for sharing yr insights as always, regardless. ♥️

Eric Carmen was inspired by '' Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2, II. Adagio Sostenuto''. Dimash has a Russian/Kazakh culture, and he is classically educated, and Rachmaninoff is part of Dimash's musical DNA. So, the music is Russian. Rachmaninoff was a Russified Tatar and Dimash is Turkic as well. Tatars and Russian are part of the same Eurasian mix. This is the world of Dimash.

The harp is such a lovely accompaniment to the timbre and tone of Dimash’s delicate approach. I fell in love with this song when Celine performed (I’ve seen her live at two concerts) and Dimash brought my love of this song back to my heart. The instrumental interlude was similar to Celine’s arrangement, but as with everything that Dimash does, Dimash makes it his own. I love this! (I appreciate your technical evaluation. Your description of the problems faced by non-native English speakers/singers made me think of conversations with my eldest daughter who is studying linguistics currently.). I love his vocal “flex” at the end (cadenza/flex same thing!)

This man is such a good singer and professional that not only does he stop the orchestra at the same time that he stops singing but also stops the audience in absolute silence ... that another singer could have so much control over the audience that everyone is catatonic. when he decides ... that is a detail that shows how special this singer is.

Always seems to be the one that gets missed or ends up being the darn world's best version where they cut it to shreds and it doesn't have the amazing instrumentation along with it either. This is one of my favourite performances from the singer batch. I have been meaning to ask for parts of Dimash’s concerts’ because they are so different in sound and feel from these individual performances on singer or with krutoy. I will suggest the NYC concert since I was there and Dimash speaks English to the fans throughout. His concerts do not have an orchestra - he has a band with 2 drummers.. he has back up singers - 3. The energy is huge. One never knows where or how he will enter the stage. Sometimes he jumps straight up and my impression is that gravity has been turned off and he just lifts both his legs Simultaneously. He has dancers. Sometimes he dances. At 40:57 in the NYC concert pt 1 he does Give me your love - music he wrote in Michael Jackson style. Jordan a back up singer wrote the words. There is a funny thing that happened in the concert before this one - I think St. Petersburg. The dancer in red ended the dance facing out from Dimash’s body and there was lots of Dears reacting to the fact his hand appeared to be on her breast. In nyc this dance ended with her facing him. When the dance was over Dimash went over to the standing fans and said something like, “Dont be jealous. This is my job” This doesn’t appear on the video. The Dears at the NYC concert learned 3 of his KZ songs by heart ( unforgettable day, Daididau, ?) KZ fans helped the English speakers on line. So this concert has lots of fan interaction. Especially cute at 39:45 “needs singing one more time”. The different colored paper hearts corresponded to the songs. In his KZ concert and in nyc his little brother played Dombra with an ensemble. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MKf3z66QiIk.html

Your analysis was spot on as usual. The harp, the orchestra was awesome. The singer, he who shall not be named, can sing like crazy, but his singing version sucked. Céline Dion and Eric Carmen better, my opinion, my taste. Interesting, a hospital I use to work at, had a harp come in and play soothing music and i use to ask her to play Back In Black, ACDC, Sweet Child O Mine, GNR, and she would say bring me the music and I will do it for you. I brought her the music of Cliffs of Dover, Eric Johnson, and she nailed it. Steelheart, Never Let You Go, vocalist Miljenko Matijevic, can scream like a girl too, but it fits the song better than , he who shall not be named version of All By Myself. Once again, my Opinion.😊

I will use the Google translator hoping for a good translation. In any case, I will also bring my text back to you in my mother tongue. I followed his reaction. She deserves me to explain to her who and what Dimash is. I will use words that I have also used for others. I'm Italian. I've known bel canto since I was born. Let's make the point right away: Dimash is not just good at this or that field, in this or that aspect, of singing. Dimash is the sound field. You have guessed the totality that is Dimash, but not quite. Following the ontological thread even before the logic of technical analysis, he could not yet fully understand that here it is no longer just octaves, whistle register and even more than simple, immense, vocal technique. Dimash has a universal voice. To be clear, his voice is like what in biology is called a totipotent cell. In this sense it is a "stem voice". From this cell can be generated any type of tissue, what are commonly called musical genres. Its transitions are such that the transition no longer exists. Dimash does not sing the different genres (opera, pop, rock, also rap et cetera...). It's all genders already. In his case, musical genres are nothing more than a coloriture, an inflection, a declination, of his general voice. The same applies, of course, to all his voice records. This also leads to the fact that he sings easily in several languages. The different national languages are nothing more than determinations, sub-species, of its general sonority. Let me give you an example which is also a confirmation: Dimash has sometimes been criticized for not having devoted himself exclusively to the Opera. It was Dimash himself who declined the invitation to specialize in operatic singing. And this is perfectly consistent with its nature and value. Dimash is not only an operatic singer, neither just rock, nor just pop, nor anything specified and specific, simply because he is a "holistic" singer in both the philosophical and scientific sense of the term. Dimash is a "singing system" that is more than the sum of its own parts. She sings with her whole body. This fact does not only relates to technical considerations relating to the posture to be taken at different times and modes of singing. It is first and foremost that, as I said, in Dimash singing is equivalent to the whole organism. I suppose sooner or later this should have happened in someone. It happened in this Kazakh boy. In summary: The other singers, all the other singers, perform a song. Dimash executes himself. Having said that, I salute you. Post scriptum : When you use the Italian word "vibrato", " staccato " pronounce them correctly. Thank you. E’ già tutti i generi. Grazie.

When we hear "Dimash" we are listening to an amplified voice first of all. And then any number of electronic enhances added. And then we hear soprano range high notes added in to impress. To compare him to the greats of our western tradition is ridiculous because in the pure tradition (bel canto), it is forbidden to use microphones or other enhancements. In fact, because Dimash has become so popular, I predict he will spawn many imitators in the west who will turn out to be just as good if not surpass his super human god like singing.

@@John_Malloy You didn't understand anything I wrote. As far as I am concerned, I could very well mention the performance of Franco Corelli's " E lucevan le stelle " at the Teatro Regio in Parma in 1967 as a top of the song and continue, coming out of the "bel canto", with the performance of Summertime by Janis Joplin in Stockholm in 1969 and explain to her why I call them quotes. But I prefer not to since the only ridiculous thing here is his insipidity, his complete ineptitude. And that's it. I don't have time to waste with someone who seems to have just come out of the primordial broth.

Did you ever heard anything from Judas Priest or DIO? I've seen you have been enjoying some heavy metal songs, and I think you could enjoy some of their songs, maybe Judas Priest is a bit too harsh, but they are definitively heavy metal history. I'd like to see you reacting to "Painkiller", one of their most famous and signature songs. "Holy Diver" from DIO would be also very enjoyable. I hope you get fun :)

For a different suggestion today (i know i keep suggesting Van Canto - If i die in blatte), i thought id introduce you to the dark and moody end of the Metal Genre. Gothic Rock. In the aproachable corner, there are several bands out there, i think, that might suit you and youll be enjoying to listen to. I got 3 different songs on my mind, that i personaly like a lot. I can assure you, i wouldnt suggest EBM to you, i dont think itl suite the theme of this channel at all. (On a side note, all bands are german, but ill pick english songs ^^) First band ill suggest: ASP ASP were my introduction drug, when i was in my early teens, mostly listening to Dance, Trance and Techno, that converted me to the "dark" side of music. Their main vocal singer has a really deep and dark voice i like a lot (cause im a deep base, so my singing voice matches his tone quality and depth a lot ;) ). The Song i suggest: ASP - Me. There is even a remastered 4K Video released a few months ago. Second Band: Lord of the Lost. They are a "Dark Rock" Band i discovered only recently, but i like their songs a lot. Lord of the Lost - Loreley Is the song i suggest from this band Third Band: Mono Inc. They are somewhat clichee Gothic Band, but i like the fact, that they have a female drummer whos also doing backing vocals. And their main front singer has a suthing voice too. For songs, i suggest 2. Mono Inc. - Voices of Doom Mono Inc. - Children of the Dark (This song is a colab with 3 other singers from the bands Lacrimosa, Lord of the Lost and Joachim Witt (Legend of the early german Dark Wave scene)) The video is awesome too, cause you see loads of different scenes form one of germanys biggest Gothic festival the M´era Luna.

I'm not sure if someone's recommended her to you already, but Patty Gurdy is an amazing singer with a broad repertoire from metal to folk to opera. I'm not sure if her adaptation of the flower duet from Delibes's Lakmé is on RU-vid, but she sings it while playing a super complicated instrument at the same time! Another good song from her which I really like her singing in is "Run", but then the live version at Lexington, which can be found here. The first two minutes are engaging the audience, the song itself start at 2:40 :)
