Before anyone else makes a comment about accreditation, I realize I made a mistake. This isn’t a Celine Dion cover. The original artist of “All By Myself” is Eric Carmen. I did not know this and now I do. He created a masterpiece and others have covered it with their flavor and taste. Kudos to Eric!

Dimash has perfect pitch. Diagnosed when he was five, and first attending music academy. The mic shake came about because of ignorant people accusing him of lip syncing, but it also makes a nice sound effect.

I think he does that thing with the mic to prove that he isn’t lip syncing. It’s also a pretty cool effect. He’s a pro at using his the mic to produce different voice effects.

He often uses All By Myself as a vehicle for audience participation and a bit of ad lib showing off! The I Am Singer 2017 version is also magnificent! This Bastau concert, by the way, is superb, 3 hours long, such variety, such incredible showmanship and stage presence.. Some very special performances from it are.. Adai/Daidedau, Daybreak, Give Me Love, SOS and many others.. Did you notice the HUGE audience that he commands "all by himself"? He's only 22 or 23 here! He is a phenomenon of our times! Actually, Celine did a COVER of Eric Carmen's All By Myself. So this is also a cover of Eric Carmen's song. Dimash does have Perfect pitch and he is UP to 7 octave range plus. 🎶👱‍♀️👗👠👠💓

Yes, it was Eric Carmen's song. I lived in his era of music. You need to hear it also and other songs by Eric Carmen. This song to me was his signature song.

That is true & worth pointing out. At the same time, he sang a cover of Celine Dion’s version, which was very uniquely different from Carmen’s. Similar to how the Latin artist just covered Dimash’s SOS. If someone came along & did his types of riffs while covering All By Myself, they too might say they covered Dimash, even though he’s not the original singer. Same goes for someone doing “I will always love you” like Whitney instead of Dolly.

@@lolawants2008 But Dimash ALWAYS does the songs he covers in a different version BUT they are still covers of the original. You can't call any cover anything other than a cover even if they are unique in any way, otherwise you could say that Dimash's unique covers are something other than covers. Only the songs Dimash composes or writes or that others write or compose for Dimash are originals. 😊💓💓

I'm in for many more while I keep on counting days til his concert in Germany. 32 days left....🎈🎉 You know, I never coped up with the fact that I did not ecperience a Queen concert as long as Freddy was still alive. others mentioned his perfect pitch already from a young age, but this is also a song he sings quite often, so he knows what notes to hit because of many many months of practicing the song. di is one of a kind for sure and an inspiration for many, in many ways of life and art.

I really should make a copy and paste version of this comment because this happens all the time. However I think most people would like to know where credit is really deserved for this song. First off, not Celine Dion's song. Her version, as is this one, is a cover of Eric Carmen's December 1975 #2 hit song which he composed. So just a note to give credit where credit is due.

he sang "daididau" without both in ear monitors (bastau 2017 same concert). He was pointing to the them early in the song, indicating that they weren't working properly. Still finished the song pitch perfect

I like the performance on Singer 2017 better because the ending was a surprise. The audience here were anticipating it, so he played with their expectations. The song actually goes back further. Parts of the melody came from Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto, and Eric Carmen thought that piece was public domain, but it wasn't. He ended up having to pay a portion of royalties to Rachmaninoff's family. On Carmen's 1976 Midnight Special performance on Y.Tube, he plays a big piano solo, which might be the reason for the musical interlude before the song's climax.

Note that at 5:18 the mic is far at his side in his ourstretched hand, yet you can still hear him singing those high notes with the chorus before he brought the mic back to his mouth. If the stage and audience weren't so big, I doubt he'd even need a mic in the first place.

This is the concert song where he plays with the audience. The ad libs get more complex, he gets funnier. You should see the New York concert version where he first tells the audience to shush, then admits he forgot the lyrics and finally takes a run up to the mike for the last note. He's hysterical! 🤣🤣

I wish I could have gone. It was like very shortly after I learned of who he was, and the concert tickets weren’t that expensive at all, but the cost of dropping everything and just going up to New York at that time, I coudn’t have done it. ;.; hope he comes to the US again soon!

I’m late to the party but I’m glad I found this channel today. Your reactions are quality personified. I love them as you are able to discern the many aspects Dimash has perfected and you have the skills to understand just how insanely good he is. You are the first reactor I’ve found who has noticed and been blown away by his ability to hit perfect pitch after a long melisma section. The best example of this is in his cover of Lionel Richie’s HELLO. He takes this fairly simple unassuming track and utterly owns it, creating a version that is totally unique and incrementally better, and which has a central section which blows my mind no matter how many times I hear it that finishes with him needing to hit perfect pitch and he nails it. I get goosebumps every time. I’d love to see you react to this! ❤️
