This was his first solo concert ever, and he looks yes very vulnerable, thinner than ever before or since, but he has at the same time incredible self assurance and courage, in front of those thousands of people, to pull off amazing vocal acrobatics and totally original performances. You must watch Adai/Daidedau it's extraordinary, you see him as the soul of the Kazakh people, very very emotional but still confident. Possibly my favourite song of this concert is Give Me Love, so romantic, and he looks so beautiful singing this ultimate love song. I agree 100% with you Brian. He did look slim; thin even, and very exposed out there by himself. But he has the talent and inner drive and confidence to rise to any challenge. And also he was very well prepared.

This is my favorite performance of Dimash singing this song. The power and beauty he emits on this immense stage when here he was so slim. Nothing on the stage. Just a small Dimash in front of 40,000 fans. His first solo concert about 3 months after the legendary“ I am Singer “ competition 2017. Perfect song title for this. Gosh! Instead of "everybody" he might say "allbody" or instead of "hers" he says "shes" -- I cannot understand why some reactors are critical of his English. When he was on the show "I Am Singer" in 2017, he said the only English he knew was "My name is Dimash." :)

About his english, he has improved it a lot since The Singer, although he, in fact, speaks "Dinglish". For example: "I very love you" or "I very missed you", or "Ladies and gentelmenS". Two recent Dinglish's neologisms are: "she's legs" and "allbody" that you can respectfully enjoy were said by him at the Emigala awards 2022, where you can see him walking across the red carpet accompanied by his two grandmoms. He is adorable in so many different ways🤗

I think that the essential one to see is his earlier performance on Singer 2017. Most of the people in this audience had probably seen that performance on TV, and were anticipating the big ending from that version, and he knew it here, so was teasing them by making them wait for it a bit.

Селин Дион и Димаш исполнили песни по-своему, превнеся свои технические возможности, свой менталитет и своё Время. Ведь как известно, хороший художник транслирует через творчество не только себя, но и своё время. И если у Дион композиция звучит утвердительно - Я, здесь и сейчас, то у Димаша - как нечто далеко идущее, дающее Надежду - дальше будет лучше, возможности человека ещё не раскрыты. Dimash often would sing this in concerts and he plays around with it vocally in the middle and just has fun with it. It is always on his reportoair and it was one of his childhood dreams to sing that song for a big audience abroad. I think that was one of his happiest moments when thousands of people from around the world sang it together in New York. Still, I prefer the Bastau version 😊
Dimash has the perfect voice for this song! Lots of Singers have "stolen" Rachmaninoff themes, but Eric Carmen certainly hit the Jackpot with this one! Frank Sinatra also "stole" from Rachmaninoff!
