I love Dimash just the way he is... theatrics and all!!! That's Dimash. That's what sets him apart from all other singers. The way he sings and performs is who he is. And I love it and him. Dimash is Dimash, and I hope he never changes who he is or the way he performs! Some people say he should change this or don't do that; but I hope he never changes who he is or how he sings or performs. I watch him and listen to him because he is so different, and unique, and has an amazing, beautiful voice! He can do things with his voice that I have never heard other singers do. And another thing that I love about Dimash, is that he is a sweet and humble, and respectful young man. All these things combined is why so many, many people from around the world, love Dimash. I am from Russia. Sorry for my English. I love Dimash and his art! I've been watching him since 2015. American television and this competition are incomprehensible to me. How can you not show the full performance of the artist??? Why Dimash in national costume ask some? Yes, because he first sang a Kazakh song, and then the song Celine Dion. And this song was cut. Then people say he's just bragging about his high notes. They don't show the whole song and they don't understand it. So hurtful. The best competition was in China! This is where most found out about the Dimash. It was nice to watch the performances and the joy of communicating with the audience. Shame on such an American competition! Thank you guys for your reaction! It is evident that you support Dimash.

Hi guys! If youre interested in seeing Dimash perform the whole song he sang it on The Singer 2017! I honestly have mixed feelings about TWB. He actually sang "Daididau", which is a song from Kazakhstan, followed by "All By Myself". First song got completely taken out and Dimash was devastated and so were the fans. Its a beautiful song that he also sang on The Singer. They dont get much time to sing, so they have to basically take out parts of the song. If he could've sang the whole song it wouldn't have seemed like he did too much. Anyway, glad yall enjoyed it! His next performance is this Wednesday!

I agree with your comments. It's a fine balance between displaying your vocal prowness and technical abilities and maintaining the emotion of a song. People tend to be impressed with high notes which Dimash easily does, but which may not satisfy some judges (eg UK judge: "Just because you can does not mean that you should"); my favorite song of his is the emotional "Autumn Strong" which does not display as high notes as he has in this prior rounds which might satisfy judges who want emotion but not those who favor technical prowness. So song selection is critical if he needs a few more points to defeat the other singers who advance (eg TNT Boys)

Hi, thank you both for your great reaction! What you probably don't know is that the show cut Dimash's performance from 6 minutes in less then 2 minutes. We heard that from people who were in the audience. Dimash sang a mix song, a Kazakh song and All By Myself. That's why he wear his Kazakh costume. You hear in the beginning of this video, the end of the tones of Kazakh music. Also he let the Kazakh musicians, you see in the background, flew over from his country. Many judges were teared up, even Faith Hill. What she as a comment said was also cut. She said many nice things about Dimash. It was Dimash's dream to perform a Kazakh song in America on stage. Also Dimash had posted it in his IG that he was perform a Kazakh song. When he saw that it was not showed, he removed his post. 😔 The show named him "the six octave man". That's why they only showed the end of All By Myself. I feel sad about that. Now people who watch the show and don't know him think that he only can sing like that, but that's not true. I have become obsessed with the Dimash and his talent and his humility. I hate his participation in "The World's Best" competition however, as time limitations have forced him to cut his performances to a fraction of their original, leaving out his masterful building up of each song. What viewers see in this performance are the edited part of the whole 6 minutes to a less than 2 minutes and only showed his high notes which I believe that's what the World Best wanted to show. Dimash outfit is more theatrical stylized ancient outfit. Nobody in modern Kazakhstan wears this kind dress and shoes. Even in the ancient time, I think only nobility could afford this golden attire, golden boots with high heels, if you noticed. You might see some people wear this kind of robs, called "chapan", but only on national holidays and definitely not golden but maybe black, green or blue with some ornaments at the edges. Google "kazakh chapan" and you will see the difference.

Love you both reacting together and your arts and crafts 😊. I do feel badly they cut the first part rather than all by myself. Actually her comment from what I have heard was chopped s it sounded negative. Also cutting any song from 5-7 minutes to 2 means it is a show. Hoping he and all the other singers get to do full songs. Yes, he was in national dress as were his parents. I believe though cannot say for sure that his was based off the Golden Man a Kazakh National treasure. The extra embellishments I think possibly to reference a look of armour that the Golden Man is in. Could be completely wrong but it was what it made me think of.

Great reaction and comments, guys! As I understand it, Dimash's performance was edited from over 6 minutes to a little over 2. So, it lost the impact of Dimash's unique build up. The first portion of the song was, I believe, Daididau. Therefore, he wore the traditional Kazakh outfit. He, apparently, was saddened over the fact that they cut this half of the song, for he wanted to bring his culture to the world.

This was a lovely performance by Dimash, it's a shame that it was cut so much as it doesn't give a true representation of what he is capable of. Dimash builds a song. And it is a true shame that the Kazakh song was cut, they even flew Kazakh musicians over for it (you can sort of see them in the background of this video.) Incidentally Faith Hill's comments were also edited, she had a lot of positive things to say apparently, including that Celine Deon couldn't hit the high notes that Dimash was hitting live, only in studio. Well, c'est la vie, I'm just happy that Dimash is getting some American exposure. He deserves it!

Hi Guys, great reaction … it was just a shame that this was heavily edited for broadcasting his performance was almost six minutes long cut down to 2.5 mins I suppose it doesn't matter in as much as its not a phone in and the judges saw it all but it would have been good to see it in its entirety!! Yeah as someone else has said he was in his traditional Kazakh costume because he also sang "Daididau" which was cut from TV altogether. he has 2 or 3 national costumes but this was new for this and his London concert. Btw If you haven't seen "All by myself" on Singer 2017 you need to watch it because that's his full version with all the runs and insanely long notes. 👌👌😊😊

Others have mentioned how they cut his performance, so I'll mention some other things. I agree that exposing your friend to the songs on the Singer 2017 is probably the best place to start. There you can see the Kazakh song they didn't show here, and I would suggest you use the videos on Gloria Wu's channel for the backstories and English translations for Ep.4 "Autumn Strong" (or "Late Autumn" elsewhere- probably his most beautiful song of that competition), Ep.7 "Daididau" (the Kazakh song they cut), and especially Ep.8 "Daybreak" (which has the backstory of Dimash losing his voice the day before he had to sing). Of course also see the version of "All By Myself" Ep.9. If you wonder why there is an instrumental interlude in that song, see the RU-vid 1976 Midnight Special performance of it by the song's writer Eric Carmen (not Celine Dion). He does a big piano solo in the middle of it because some of the song is based on themes from Rachmaninoff's Second Piano Concerto. Why not watch them and the other episodes on your own, if it's too much time and effort to react to them ?

He uses the mic 'trick' quite a lot. It's his way to show that he is singing live and it is not prerecorded. He and the other contestants really got a bad deal on tis show as their performances, although performed in full, were cut to ~ 2 minutes to fit the show's timetable.

World's Best show reminds me of slapstick comedies. That's what it is.....slapstick comedy level.....unfortunate for Dimash to be on it.

This has been chopped up so much is nothing like the real performance of this beautiful song 😥 he is wearing a Kazach Shapan, he wore it to sing his original arrangement of Daididau, but please listen to that from I am Singer 2017 as it's a really good performance.
