Ikanaide is the original song in Japanese, written by Koji Tamaki, and released in 1989. Autumn Strong is the Chinese version of the song, also NOT written by Dimash. I am uncertain who wrote the Chinese lyrics, which are different from the original Ikanaide. Either version is beautiful and Dimash sings both exquisitely!! Sometimes, in concert, he will switch between the two languages within the song! 🤗♥️🎶♥️🎶

This is the Chinese version of ”Ikanaide", which is the original song in Japanese by Koji Tamaki. The lyrics are different because it is from different view points about the same story. Below is from Wikipedia: The song is about Yoshiko Yamaguchi (山口 淑子), a Chinese-born Japanese actress during World War II. She hid her Japanese heritage under the name Li XIanglan. She became famous in China. However, once the war was over and she revealed her identity, she was accused of being a spy and she was deported back to Japan and didn't go back to China for many years, as it was forbidden at that time. Ms Yamaguchi did return to China in her later years as the Japanese Parliamentary Vice Minister of Environment. This song is saying goodbye to her Chinese name Li Xianglan. The song is a metaphore, as lyrics speak of how a person has to hide what feels inside. Original Japanese version by Koji Tamaki (JAP: 玉置 浩二) under title 行かないで (JAP: Ikanaide), released 20th of Nov 1989. Later it was translated to Cantonese and sang by 张学友 (CN: Jacky Cheung ) recorded for an album "Your dream" (夢中的你) and realeased 23rd July 1990 as 李香蘭 (CN: Li Xianglan / sometimes used as "Lei Heung Lan"). Jacky changed the key from B minor to A minor. The song was used in Chinese television serie called "Li XIang Lan". Next the song was translated for Jacky Cheung to Mandarin Qui Yi Nong (Late Autumn). In 2004 the Taiwanese singer and Dimash's firned Terry Lin arapted the song into new version entitled "In deep autumn", lyrics by Daryl Yao. Dimash sang it for the first time during The Singer 2017. He had only 1 week to learn it. He interpreted Taiwanese version sang by Terry Lin with Mandarin lyrics. This song earn Dimash the "Best Foreign Singer" award during Golden Melody Award in Hong Kong.

Hi guys Yes this is Ikanaide in chinese version, a compulsory song in every Dimash concert. I've seen this live in his concert 2 weeks ago. Dimash is so emotional during this song. We can sense his grievance for the the loss of his grandfather a week before the concert. It was the most difficult time for him and he almost cancel the concert. But he said he remembered his grandpa advise that never turn back your promise. So he end up to the concert and tried his best to entertain us. We also greif with him and cried with him during that concert. It was the most beautiful experince in my life and i will treasured it the most. Hi guys, since you like this song you should check same song, he sang on his ARNAU TOUR on 11.03.2020. it's amazing, you will see how powerful his voice is. at the end of the song, he didn't use the microphone.

And I can not express enough how much I respect and appreciate you for always guiding your viewers to go back to view the artist, to give love and support to Dimash as I'm sure you do for all artists that you review. This one reviewer who I stopped watching very early on actually sold merchandise with DImash's name and image and I thought that is just not right at all to profit off of DImash, when you did nothing. Also so appreciate your positive energy and depth of appreciation for Dimash's music and communication that he shares with his audience....you are so right, I've never seen an artist share, have a conversation with, desire to connect at a meaningful level with his audience.....even though this is a stadium, it is like Dimash is inviting us into his home, his heart, in this large venue he still interacts with his fans at such an intimate personal level....truly unique....he's is just the best!!! Autumn Strong is a Chinese version of the song, but the lyrics are different from Ikanaide. Hope that helps - the melody is the same.

DQ sang it as part of the I Am Singer competition and there is a video that shows the BACK STORY about WHO the song is about, her life story, the reason Dimash was SO MOVED by her story and wanted to sing it as well as some of the process of him preparing to sing this song which was his first time singing in Chinese!!
