The bit of Kazakh Rap was cool, and who knew Dimash had also studied Martial Arts!? A light departure from the serious themes and a demonstration of his enormous range and capacity to play across all genres. 😆😄

This was a homage to Dimash's idols, MJ and Jackie Chan. He raps in the song also. She is running because she is trapped by the gangsters in the club and thought Dimash was one of the gangsters until she realises he's there to rescue her. Always the hero. Dimash is an artist who likes to experiment with different genres, different styles. What you see in this video is a character very different from the Dimash we know. He show someone very arrogant and pretentious. We all know who Dimash is and the character he shows in this video is very far from him. I think he was experimenting with his acting. I find it fascinating how he transforms him self according to the style of music he presents to us. His fighting game is amazing, his years of taekwondo have served him well. In the MV of this song, he makes a parody of action movies, like 007: We have a mafia, a girl hostage to bandits, beautiful women, fights, car escape... But, the most important is the transgression of styles. There is no definite one: Now it's R&B, it's Funk, Bel Canto, Rap… All in the same song! As you can deduce from the end of the video, Dimash is not even a "smooth criminal" but a Bond 007 in its purest essence😂😂😂, he sneaks into the club, fights and conquers the girl, he doesn't really chase her but saves her from the bad. Kind of a cheeky cautionary tale. You`re right about the chase, and as a fun fact, if you watch the "backstage" for the 'Be with me' MV (on his channel as well), you`ll see Dimash saying something like that, during a break on the set - 'I am here beating up all these people for you, this is unfair! ' 🤣 Can`t wait for the next reaction videos :)) This is some info about the concerts : Arnau Kinetic (2019 - Kazakhstan) - arguably the biggest production - the craziest appearance on stage - the craziest 'SOS' performance setup, also one of the most touching, made into a tribute to his friend Denis Ten, kazakh figure skater who died in 2018 (age 25) at the hands of thieves who were trying to steal parts of his car. Arnau Envoy - New York (2019) - huge production as well - worth seeing him play the the dombra 4 meters high above the stage. I swear this man has no fear of heights 😆Also, another beautiful tribute in the images on the stage screens during "SOS" - artists who passed away young - Whintey Houston, Chester Bennington etc. The 2nd dimension of the tribute he turned "SOS" into Arnau Kiev (2020)- smaller stage, but so many close-ups on him singing, so much technique and emotion caught on professional recording. And 3rd dimension of the tribute he turned "SOS" into - reflected in the images on the stage screens - painful events that make us wish sometimes we could fly like a bird above the world. "Arnau" means "Dedication" in kazakh, the name of his first tour. (interrupted by pandemic after Kiev 2020, finished with Dubai, Prague and Dusseldorf in 2022. Watch it again and pay close attention to his rather obnoxious and selfish behavior throughout and carefully read the Kazakh rap text. Dimash always presents a message and does so brilliantly in this cautionary tale for women to watch out for the type of character he plays here. A handsome ne're do well womanizer that women should stay away from. Dimash upset a lot of Dears by playing the "bad(ish)" guy in this video. He wanted to flex his acting chops by playing against type and also have fun with it tongue in cheek. I have a feeling he was rather disappointed in the mixed response from some of his Dears who hated to see him playing a not so good guy.
