The concert was in 2018 as part of the New Wave Music Festival in Sochi, Russia, an annual Summer event. Dimash recomposed an old hit of the band to cover. The original lead singer had past away a few years ago due to a chronic illness. This performance was in tribute to him. A'Studio is like The Moody Blues, a band since the 70s. But this particular performance is special because of the attendance of the tall bald guy in the white shirt seen giving him a standing ovation. Igor Krutoy was a retired Ukrainian billionaire music producer and song writer who was so blown away by this performance that he came out of retirement to work with Dimash. This is how the song was performed, exactly in the 20th anniversary of this song. It speaks of greater love, greater loss, greater despair, greater desire, greater passion. The loss or lack of this love, in Dimash's interpretation, has the dimension of a loss of life, which one is very anxious to restore. Welcome to the wonderful world of Dimash! This was indeed a cover of a song by A Studio, a Kazakh Russian pop group. By that time, the lead singer had been dead for a while. Dimash added his own twist to the original, as he always does for covers. You can see it in All by Myself (Singer 2017), Hello (Singer 2018), and of course his flagship song SOS d’un terrien en détresse from any of his many versions. One of his early compositions is Unforgettable Day (composed at age 17), which he renders differently every time. The one version you simply must listen to is the one from the Gakku concert where he inadvertently sang a D8 (the note beyond the right side of the piano)! After Dimash revolutionized and pushed the boundaries of the art of singing, he now innovates in the performance of singing by expanding the art of music videos in The Story of One Sky and in the integration of technology in El Amor en Ti. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 7,7 octaves (vocal fry C1 (B0) - whistle D8 off the piano). That means he hits notes in almost 8 octaves and sings consistently in 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly😅). At least what he has shown us so far. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. The latest songs (from Tokyo Jazz Festival in November 2021) are Ikanaide in Japanese and at his concert in Almaty on September 23, 2022 he sang a new song in Spanish (about 7 languages in one concert!). Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their origianal, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And I absolutely believe this. His concert in September 23, 2022 was in his hometown Almaty, it was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. He sings here with the fellow Kazakh group A Studio as a guest for their 20th anniversary here at the New Wave Festival. Dimash changed the ending of the song and the tempo to revive it for them. Dimash is a musical genius singer, multi instrumentalist, and composer. He is very highly musically educated and extraordinarily talented. He became professional in 2010 at the age of 16 but had been performing on stage and TV since the age of 5. He holds huge stadium concerts throughout the world and has millions of fans and fanclubs in most countries of the planet.

He began his classical training in both vocals and instrumental at age 5. Continued that through age 25 but yes, he also has a bachelors, a Masters in composition and has just completed his Doctoral studies and Dissertation a few weeks ago. The concert was in Sochi Russia, as part of a New Wave Contest which is annual, and He regularly performs in it with the famous Russian composer producer pianist Igor Krutoy who came out of semi-retirement to work with Dimash when possible. They produce many exceptional performances on this stage and in the Kremlin Palace. Dimash has a worldwide following of fans from 150+ countries and does international concerts. This is his destiny, and it will not stop. His songs are endless, and each one has different surprises and beautiful qualities. The band who wrote the song and accompanying Dimash is A Studio. I believe it is in Russia though Dimash is from Kazakhstan. They used the surname Kudaiberginov and that generally indicates they are in Russia. Russia being notorious for adding "ov" to the end of a surname.
