Everyone has to choose a old Chinese poem and present it in a musical form. Dimash chose a poem over 1,400 years old and made a royal music setting for a beautiful text. 👉This was a Chinese TV show 'classic wings' in which young people are unconventionally taught the classics of history. It is an honour to be able to participate in this event as an artist. Dimash chose the poem of a high official from the Tang Dynasty (7th or 8th century) a work by Zhang Jiuling, who dedicated this poem to his friend. It's about two people, though thousands of miles apart, friendship lives in each other's hearts. Not a competition Dimash vowed never to compete again. Its more a cultural TV programme where ancient texts are set to modern music. He spoke in Chinese on TV for the first and only time so far. This was recorded in Feb 2019 but not shown until June or July during quarantine. I love this beautiful song but he mist likely won't sing it again as it was specific to this show 💖
