This was actually the first performance for the China competition's new season of The Singer 2017 [which was why the crowd was excited for it to start at the beginning] -- but what is often overlooked is that he was pretty much a complete unknown to that audience [he's from Kazakhstan and didn't speak any Chinese at that time], and he was the least expected or anticipated to do much since he was pretty much unknown to the audience [which is why he was placed to go first -- the most anticipated singers were set to perform last on that episode]. This was the first time the China audience and other performers in the back room on the show heard him sing. Dimash Kudaibergen is a 24 year old singer from Kazakhstan. He made his international debut in China on the stage of the singing competition called "Singer " in 2017 (weekly tv series format). He sings in 12 different languages, plays multiple instruments, composes and has a God-given range that has been nutured and trained like the gem that it is. (C2 to D8... over 6 octaves). He started music school at the age of 5 after his parents (both singers) discovered that he had perfect pitch and just recently graduated from university. At 5, he also let the music school know that their piano was out of tune. 😂 He speaks fluent Kasaqh and Russian, but is also learning english and chinese. He is a true voice for the world. ❤ Though classically trained in opera, he turned down an offer from the opera in order to pursue his own style of music, which he calls neoclassical. Many also use the term Popera.. a combination of pop and opera. I personally believe that he will make music history for his innovative style. He doesn't talk about his range because how high is not important. The importance is the emotions of the songs. He's a master at using the notes to get his point across. He's a musical genius, but works extremely hard behind the scenes to improve in every area. To say that I tremendously respect and admire him is an understatement. You have only scratched the surface of his talent or range. It is always heartwarming to watch first-timers react to Dimash's singing.This very same performance, when I watched Dimash do it in the annual Singer Contest of Hunan Television (China) in January 2017, got me hooked up immediately. I now don't listen to anybody else. -- The song itself is popular in France, (that's why Dimash sings it in its original French language). It is a song of a dying man (pourquoi je vis, pourquoi je meurs). The lyrics are the somewhat scattered thoughts of this "terrien en détresse." who is about to die. At the end, before the very last line, Dimash makes a pause, because the last words, "Dodo, l'enfant, do," are no longer the dying man’s; they are those of the celestial beings who will escort him to eternity.

You will notice that SOS is probably the most popular of all his songs. His version of this song is unattainable for any Male singer in the world to sing. Before he goes into the acrobatics...the baritone to high stacato little riff he does at the beginning...most people can't even sing THAT...try it...I believe I can sing,...and I cannot do it. People like to talk about his range because he may be the only Male and maybe 4 people on the planet that have that range...fair enough. But his CONTROL is out of this world. He can turn it up, or soften it, his stacato, his runs, etc... put it together, and there isn't anybody that would be silly enough to attempt Dimash's version of this song. It is again...unattainable and a sure fail for any singer to try and perform (probably why you don't see cover's of Dimash songs 🤣😃😄.) Part of this journey, you will see the documentaries of this Kasakh singer. Both his parents are professionals. His grandparents both sing (non professionally). He was raised mostly by his grand parents. Some inconsistencies I hear that are not true. * 6 octave range...No human has that...people say it all the time... In the documentary they talk about his better than 4 1/2 Octave range...you can count those singers on 1 hand. * This was his first International Competition...also incorrect. Though he won every contest he ever entered, from Serbia, France, etc... this contest he came in 2nd. (The Adam Lambert of American Idol syndrome)...everyone knew Dimash should have won. But, being a Kazakh in a Chinese singing show, didn't favor him to win...He was runner up...The next season 2018... professional singer Jesse J became the first foreigner to win the same show. In less than 2 seasons, 'I Am A Singer' has obliterated American Idol, The Voice, etc... because of the quality of their competition. In 2017 Dimash and 2018 Jesse J opened the door to everyone worldwide...including professionals. His 2 languages of proficiency are Russian and Kazakh. He is also learning Chinese and English. The Chinese have absolutely gone ga-ga over Dimash. In Chinese...they pronounce his first name Dimashi In Russian...they add 'ov' to the end of his last name... Kudaibergen(ov) Is it true he can hold a note for 19 seconds? Fact...and there are videos that prove he can do so. Is it true he can hit the whistle notes like Mariah Carey? Fact.... he most certainly can. F2(baritone) to D8(Suprano) =4.5 octaves Everyone is enamored with this guy. So, if you wanted viewers, you won't have to try hard...just do Dimash reaction videos...your views will go thru the roof. Has he ever performed in the USA? Once...at the end of 2017 in Los Angeles at the Kazakh Arts Bldg... He blew Americans away that attended. He could do a US tour right now,... sing the songs in their prescribed languages...and people wouldn't care...He would sell out places. People are begging for this 24 year old young man to come here. Is he gay?(often a question)... No, he is not. Is he a Muslim? He most certainly is. Khazakstan is predominantly a Muslim country. He will heal a lot of wounds around the world to those with hurtful notions that Islam is a religion of harm...he will prove otherwise to the uninformed. The Human Violin. Often wears masks out in public to prevent catching colds, flus... his voice is his money maker,...he must protect it. The people will fill you in on songs to listen to...but, this one was a pure masterpiece from top to bottom.

This song is subtitled "A Earthling in Distress" and it's a song about alienation. The lyrics are very touching. Among the lines he says, basically: "I've never felt at home in my own skin... I wish I could be a bird; maybe this world will look more beautiful from way on high... I feel something drawing me, drawing me, way up high... I tend to confuse reality with comic books...In the lottery of life, I didn't pull a good number...Why do I live, why do I die? Why do I laugh, why do I cry?..." I still browse your music videos from time to time to see what still store in there. I’m just wondering how much effort and strength you have invested into it and to reach such a powerful voice and the many other talents that you have. Indeed it is really a great work. How you were able to develop such a heights of your talents is really admirable and worth learning. And it is much more beautiful because you sing it by heart, naturally and at your heart’s content with joyful disposition. The discipline, courage, dedication and high ideals in pursuing your singing career to the best of your ability the best you can is worth imitating not only in our individual professional fields but also in living our day to day life. Song of Dimash “S.O.S D’UN TERRIEN EN DETRESSE” (Ester Rabi’s Commentary & Reflection on this song: I like this music because it reminds me the truth and Realities of Human Life) Suffering and death is one of the realities of human life. It is important that we should know the basic truth about it, so that it will not cause us fear and distress in our life’s journey, but rather to remind us all of our ultimate destiny as people of faith. For me, there are 3 kinds of suffering we experienced in life: 1st suffering that God allows, 2nd suffering which is the results of our own choices and decisions and 3rd is the suffering which is cause by other people to us. In whatever forms of suffering we are experiencing, know that, if it is discern well it will gain us eternal merit. Note that it is not important how much and how long we suffer, or who cause us to suffer, but how is our attitude towards it when it comes into our life…? All of these three can be an opportunity or a means of grace that we will grow in virtue, when we accept it with great humility and discernment. Our usual human tendency is, if we can, we try to avoid any pain and suffering in our life. However we can’t deny also that life is mixed of many learning experiences both in joys and in difficulties and I supposed we need it both, because it contributes and helps us mature and grow in many aspects of life. Suffering and death may seem contrary to our own human thinking or world’s way of thinking but in it, there’s a certain wisdom which is richer and deeper that no one can fully understand. Suffering reminds us the real fact that we are all fragile human beings; that we are limited and we are not God. Sufferings are human reality and consequences of sin that affects us all. It helps us see the real worth and value of things and meaning in life. Likewise, if we are open to grace it helps us become vulnerable, sensitive and compassionate to others. It sharpens our awareness that this earth is not our permanent and true home. We should remember that we are strangers and pilgrims on this earth” St. Paul reminded us that “the sufferings of this present time are nothing to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed to us later. Suffering purifies and refines us of any life’s superficiality into an authentic one. Though no one really is actively searching for suffering in his / her life, but honestly truth compels us to admit that sufferings do have a great value in our life and by experiencing it personally in reality, you will never be the same person. The hope of heaven gives us joy even in the sufferings of this life. In God’s plan, human beings were created for holiness and eternal life with him. But through the original sin that enters into us, our nature has been wounded, and we experience suffering and death. This was not part of God’s original plan, but it is part of the reality of our human lives now. Death for us is a frightening mystery because we are being stripped off of all our attachments to this world; our body lies corrupt; our immortal soul goes to meet the Lord. We will see the whole truth of our lives, and we will face God’s judgment. Death creates in us a feelings and emotion of fear, separation, sadness and pain. Many times we evade this reality and we try to question and argue with God why…? But all our efforts failed because whether we like it or not at the end we all die. Death comes in our life anytime anywhere. No material things, good health, young age can guarantee of its extension. If this life were the only one we had, death would definitely be the great tragedy. But In God’s plan, however, death is not the end of everything, but the border that enables every human being to enter the endless place of eternity. For all those who have done their best to respond to God’s grace, to die is to cross from an imperfect type of existence into a new and fuller life lived in God’s presence. Often we feel the greatest misfortunes, when death struck in a person, depriving him or her greatest treasures a person can possess which is life itself. Death is such a peaceful event in our life if we die in the state of grace, meaning if we did reconcile with God and at peace with others. Death is the end of our earthly life. Our lives are measured by time, in the course of which we change, grow old and, as with all other living beings on earth. Since it is unknown to all of us the time of our death, therefore, it is best that we prepare at all times, otherwise we are caught by surprise of not being ready when God comes to take us to be with Him forever in our eternal home in bliss.
