This is what the Dears have known all along, that music transcends language. I feel sorry for the people who are so focused on lyrics that they don't feel the music in their souls. Dimash has brought millions of people together around the world with his music and in a time of global strife it's a wonderful thing to witness, breaking down miscomprehension and learning appreciation for other cultures has come about through one man and his musical genius.

This beautiful Dudarai song is from Kasakh folklore. Dimash added touches of funk and jazz and brought it to the stage. A genius!!! There is nothing in music that Dimash can't do!!!!

As part of the “Beauty and Harmony” program, Dimash delighted the audience in China with the Kazakh song Dudarai composed by Bakhytzhan Baikadamov. Dimash was accompanying himself on dombra and piano to perform the traditional song in jazz style. It was really amazing to see on stage a new facet of his multiple skills, always on point!! 🔝❤️🎤

Great reaction. When you mentioned your colleague it reminded me of when I showed a video of Dimash singing SOS to a friend. She said “he has a very good voice but I found it depressing” (we didn’t have the captions on so it wasn’t the lyrics). I guess there are some people who will never “get” Dimash. It’s a pity because they will never experience that feeling of overwhelming highs and love in their hearts and souls that some of us are privileged to feel. ❤

The journey of following his music with his stunning voice, wonderful lyrics, his emotional interpretation of the meaning of the song, the amazing poetry, his creative genius and unstoppable passion to keep going for the more, his impeccable character, all inspire me and I feel like a better person being so inspired by him, to do better myself! He's a gift to the world, raising the bar to show what's possible and I couldn't love him more! I don't usually subscribe to reactors until I am sure of them, but when you described DIMASH in reference to a friends reaction and he didn't get how great DIMASH is because he has to have lyrics; that describes a person that unfortunately does not have a soul for music, and that is the way things are; but the fact you feel the same as I do about music transcends the lyrics; then you had me and I felt compelled to subscribe, I think you are sincere in your reactions. Yes some get it and some don t. I had to accept this some time ago. And I m still sad that some I love don t get it. But you can t force them. It s not only about understanding music. Because I don t know much about music. It s also about spirituality at least to me. Not the spirituality that is limited by religion though Dimash is very religious. Thank you for your genuine reaction. Dimash’s talent is so fresh and real. IMO much of the music especially in the west has lost the classical and natural beauty of the art itself including lyrics. The introduction to so many new instruments, sounds and orchestras is refreshing and always compliment Dimash’s performances. His stage presence touches the heart and soul. His wardrobe is always professional , something else that has been lost in this time. And above all his humility and respect for EVERYONE makes him an incredible human being. Thank you for you comments about enjoying music. People have asked me the same question. Most people don't understand opera but they like it. It's about the musical instrument, in this case the voice. They could be singing mary had a little lamb in a different language but if the singing is this good, who the devil cares? My ears and my soul loves it. That's all that matters to me.
