During rehearsal for this performance Aida jokingly said She did not worry about losing her voice as DIMASH could sing both parts. All 3 Had great fun doing this performance and made it a fantastic concert, one of my favorites.

Let me give you some info on this incredible trio and event: • Igor Krutoy, the pianist, is there as an overall lead because the event is built for him: this is his birthday event that he organized with all his favorite artists, the ones that he is used to collaborate with and the songs he has composed • This is not the first time that Lara sings this song (composed by Igor) in trio but the third time: she performed in the original version with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Alina Yaroyava then again later with Dmitriy and Sumi Jo, before this new trio with Dimash and Aida. The song was composed from day one with her voice in mind. She has been collaborating with Igor for more than 10 years and he has told from her that she is “the best singer and the best songwriter he has ever worked with” • This also explains why the song does not expose more of Dimash’s upper register: it was written for the late Dmitri who was a pure baryton. • Lara was very very sick that day, with fever and strong medication but she is skilled enough to have made it unnoticeable • Also, like Dimash, and even if the song was composed that way with her in mind, Lara does not sing in her real « comfort zone »: she is, as Aida, a lyrical soprano but here she plays the role in the trio of a mezzo-soprano and takes the median register. It requires a lot of voice control to not interfere with Aida’s high note and does not allow her to really shine. She gives room to Aida to do it instead and Aida uses this magnificently. • It was the first time Dimash met his idol Lara (he is a fan since he is a child and he covered several of her songs such as Adagio, Love of Tired Swans, Mademoiselle Hyde, Know, …): look how quickly he turned to her, despite he has not finished his duo section with Aida 😂 And how he looks at her and hold her after it … • Lara is the most comfortable in italian because it is her first native language even before french: her mother is italian and while born in Belgium she spent her first 5 years in sicilia before returning there. She also is married to a sicilian man • Look how dimash slightly adapted his vibrato to better match Aida or Lara • Also there is a debate about the final note, held for such a long time, with the conductor looking at Igor and Igor smiling: Did they make a prank to the singers by extending this last note? Or did the singers instead played with them? I personnally think this is more option 1 😀 • I forgot to add that Lara has been classically trained for more than 10 years at Brussels Royal Conservatory and still continues to receive voice lessons on a daily basis. And she has sung many times opera pieces or with opera singers. • Final note to say that Lara Fabian wrote the lyrics of the song Your Love for Dimash

This was a live concert in Moscow for Igor Krutoy's 65th birthday celebration. The whole concert is worth checking out. If you don't already know, Igor Krutoy is the man at the piano who frequently accompanies Dimash. He is a famous Ukrainian/Russian music composer, performer, producer, and musical promoter, who has composed music for and performed with renowned singers in classical and contemporary music, such as Anna Netrebko, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Aida Garifullina, Andrea Bocelli, Lara Fabian, Alla Pugacheva, Irina Allegrova, and others. As you already know, he ended his retirement after watching one of Dimash's performances so that he could compose music that only someone with Dimash's vocal ability could sing, such as I Miss You, Ogni Pietra, Your Love, Passione, Ave Maria, Stranger, just to name a few. You are already familiar with Lara Fabian. Aida Garifullina is a Russian lyric soprano of Tatar origin and in 2013 started performing at the Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg. That same year, she took first place in Plácido Domingo’s world-renowned, prestigious International Opera Singers Competition "Operalia" in Verona. That led to an offer to join the Vienna State Opera, as well as to a contract with well-known British record label, Decca Classics. Там нас, безголосых, заставляли петь, слушать других артистов, слушать музыку записанную еще на виниловые пластинки. Так вот, наш преподаватель всегда говорил: "Дети научитесь слушать хорошую музыку не ушами, а своим сердцем... Тогда я этого учителя не понимал. Только сейчас я понимаю на сколько она была права (учитель была достаточно молодая девушка, совсем недавно окончившая педагогический институт).

The purpose of the evening's performances was to celebrate Igor Trukoy's career as a renowned contemporary composer/arranger. BTW, Lara, of whom Dimash has been a big fan ( obvious from the way he looks at her), was not feeling well at all for this performance ( reportedly febrile). To hear/see her in top form, I recommend her live performance of her compsition, "Adagio", from her From Lara w/ Love concert.

It has been commented on that during rehearsals Aidia claimed she had to skip one of the practice sessions but it would be ok for the others to continue practising as Dimash could also sing her part until she came back. Laura was apparently quite ill and under the weather during this performance but still managed to sing magnificently. If one knows this and closely watches her performance she does appear to be a little less fresh or perky than her normal self although the voice seems fine.

An expensive Pianist worth about 20 to 30 billion dollars. Ukrainian born Krutoy came out of retirement to work with DIMASH to compose and produce music. Their are TV clips of the two of them clowning together, in one they were playing music in rehearsal for the tv skit and DIMASH was playing an acoustic guitar and broke into playing Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean". The two of them have the same mindset about many things concerning music, singing and acting.
