Dimash Qudaibergen - The Story Of One Sky FIRST REACTION! (GREATEST MV I'VE EVER SEEN!!!) 

Can you imagine Dimash throwing this prayerful cry out to a packed stadium of 36000 people, with 3 massive screens ( the centre one beings 16 storeys high ), and him ending the song completely spent, on his knees? This is what happened 5 days ago here in Almaty, Kazakhstan. I haven't recovered. I have never in my life heard anything so beautiful, so powerful. People around me were crying. It will stay with me forever.

I saw a clip at the end of this song during concert I got so excited because I never heard him sound a heavy metal style of singing , I didn’t know that it’s the part of this The story of one sky song. So I wanted to watch it right away when it came out , well it took me a day and a half to finish it I keep pausing, it’s giving me so much different emotions. This is Dimash masterpiece,, the MV is deep I saw reactor’s in hurry to view it for views so far Fable reactor is for me who is on point explaining what’s going on. Dimash expresses himself well , his pain of what’s going on in the world, he is just using his voice to send that message. He have millions of listeners now, can you imagine those millions of people making a difference one at a time? I really had a moment after finally watch the whole thing, we can change our future only if we make good choices. Good conquers evil.

This is subtitled "Requiem” but it is also a vision and a call to action. Dimash is steeped in sacred music and has a deep understanding of the mystic teachings and symbolism of the major world religions as well as Kazakh shamanism. It is not by coincidence that the first performance of this work took place on September 14, 2022, at the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions in Kazakhstan. The written statement at the end of the video is directly from the “Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together” signed jointly on February 4, 2019, by Pope Francis and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, Ahmad el-Tayeb. Dimash met and spoke with both men at the September meeting. Everything Dimash does is intentional, and this piece has layers that would take a dissertation to unravel. I only touch on some of what struck me in the symbolism. The music is a dissertation all by itself. The pendant is an interesting element. It is a gnomon from a maritime compass sundial. This triangular blade is attached to the sundial, casting a shadow on the sundial while the perforated pinhole projects the image of the sun onto the dial. It was used for both timekeeping and navigation, with the gnomon oriented to True North. In the MV, the child who later becomes the military commander never puts on the necklace. After Dimash, the boy, gives his friend the pendant, the camera focuses on his hand and shows that his friend has bent the gnomon in anger over being rejected by the girl. Thus bent, it can never be oriented to True North, and he has lost his moral compass. (Thank you, Snarky Tart for that information). Later, we see a version of the gnomon, but distorted and without the hole that allows light to shine through, as the military insignia on the uniforms of the commander and his soldiers. Contemporary music is also present: With the phrase "We have passed the moment of Imagine," Dimash reminds us that we are past the sentiments evoked by the song "Imagine" by John Lennon. It is time to stop dreaming about a world of peace and harmony. If we choose life, if we wish for peace, if we want a world without war for our children and grandchildren, we must act and take up the long hard path up the mountain towards the light. It is the only way. The storyline is a very human one: we start as innocents until our hearts are broken, we fail, or our dreams are not realized. If in our pain and disappointment, we turn to anger and blame instead of acceptance, power instead of love, greed and envy instead of generosity, hatred instead of forgiveness, and revenge instead of justice, we sow the seeds for conflicts that can turn into war. The Piper's call is seductive as it promises redress for our grievances, control over our circumstances, and power over those who thwarted us, and this appeals to our wounded ego. However, let's remember that the Piper is a symbolic figure of Death from the Middle Ages, often used as a metaphor for trusting and following charismatic but dangerous and malevolent leaders to certain death. The burning sign "Waldenberg" is a reference to the end of WWII when the US Army destroyed the last of the resistance by the German Wehrmacht to end the war in April 1945. As a native German, I have seen the aftermath of war as I was born a few years later when much of Germany was still in rubble. Waldenburg is only 28 miles from my hometown and was completely destroyed as you can see from the picture. Many of the dead in those bombed out buildings were women and children. Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” This is what Dimash has done with this work; he has made the darkness conscious. We can only raise our individual and collective consciousness by bringing to light what needs to be healed in our lives and our world, and then we need to work together to restore wholeness to what is broken and bring about peace and unity, one step at a time. I think we are all wrong. Dimash is not the best singer in the world. He is more than that. He is an instrument to send a message and he uses his voice to deliver it. That´s why it doesn´t matter in what language he is singing: the message is delivered. And it doesn´t matter if he isn´t even using words, just sounds: the message is still delivered. The message is there. And the message is: "we have passed the moment of ´Imagine´" as the lyrics says. It is up to us to understand it and make it work.

Quick note : the woman is Dimash`s wife, the little girl that dies is their first child. Dimash here is part of a sort of resistance against a bad leader. The bad leader is the third child from the past that saved Dimash from drowning when they were kids. The child born underground is Dimash`s second child, that survives and keeps walking on the path of kindness with the pilgrims of all faiths in the last frame of the video. This is his masterpiece. I don't know how he will top this but then we said that about Stranger. The three children, friends at first, are separated by the girl choosing Dimash. If you watch the scene on the beach, the older boy looks angry and the girl runs away from him towards young Dimash who then gives the amulet to his friends as a sign of eternal friendship. The boy bends his in anger so you can see the signs of what he will become. Dimash is fighting in the opposing army and realising the futility of war goes back home to rescue his pregnant wife (the girl from the beach) and child only to find his wife gone (presumably dead) and his child murdered by the opposing army. He tracks down and shoots his former friend to avenge his daughter and is killed in return. Dimash's wife is rescued by pilgrims who recognise the child she is carrying is vital for the future of humanity. He is born and is shown wearing his mother's amulet. The following scene is the child grown up. Dimash's son, who goes on to lead the various religions of the earth into unity and peace.

This will survive the centuries and will tell the story of us in this pitiful century of warring humans under one one sky that’s a witness to our atrocities as a specie, in the next millennium. But the child’s birth to me is symbolizing the innocence of hope, and the promise of a better future is born again.

Am waiting for your reaction to this, I was lucky enough to be in Almaty for the concert and witnessed the live performance of this song. His performance was breathtaking; he also sang it for the Pope recently during the Popes visit to Kazakhstan. The whole concert was other worldly and he sang more new songs. Dimash worked on this mv and composition for 3 years. He has another classical composition upcoming which we're waiting to be released he says it's very complex. There's a short teaser for it on ig and yt and it sounds beautiful.

I’m crying every time. Did you notice that people walking through desert and storm was of different religions and different ethnicity? I believe that even out of bad environment/ circumstances can be born new and pure Life and maybe Wisdom? In the plot the guy who leads and unites all ethnicities and religions, is that baby (son of Dimashe’s character).

The Symbol represents different things to different people. The Dictator used it as symbol of power and domination. Dimash' and the girl's characters saw it as the symbol of friendship, love, family, freedom, life, hope....

The way I understand this video is that the little girl became Dimash's wife. His friend became the enemy. Dimash's daughter got separated from her mom and got killed. Dimash kills his friend and then gets killed. At the end all the killed people walk to the light, leaded by Dimash, all together, it doesn't matter their religion, their nationality, their believes.. we are all under the same sky.
