Dimash is a 30-year-old Kazakh vocalist and composer; He speaks Kasakh, Russian and English and is learning Mandarin Chinese. He sings in more than 14 languages, plays 7 musical instruments. He graduated from the Kazakhstan University of Arts with a master's degree in composition and would be completing a doctorate in musicology. He also dances, acts and is an advertising model (he is 6.3 feet tall). He has received countless awards and honors around the world. He was in Los Angeles, USA, working on his new material that his fans (he affectionately calls us "dears") . He is a kind, polite and compassionate person, proud of his culture and his country. He is known as the "best singer in the world."

Dimash is on his "stranger" world tour. On May 4 he was in Budapest with the attendance of 77 countries around the world. A great success!!! This May 24 he will be in Türkiye, Istanbul, a date that coincides with his 30th birthday.

“SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above. Luc Plamondon wrote the lyrics of SOS about a very distraught young man who just lost his lover causing him extreme questioning of his own existence. Finally being by her lifeless body, he is able to let her go “in peace“ with the words ‘sleep, my child, sleep’. It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2004 with this song.

I take the wings as the bird he wishes to be in the song, & the golden eagle is the sybol of Kazakhstan. Dimash has many Kazakh symbols in his work. The Digital Shows were done during lockdown. The song is French Canadian, written long before Dimash was born.

If you're interested in learning more about Dimash as a person I highly recommend "The Ultimate Dimash Guide" by LiLaSi. It's split into 12 parts(around 10 min each, though it varies a bit depending on topic), and is very well made and easy to follow. What I think makes it the most valuable though is that it allows Dimash to speak for himself by compiling relevant clips and interviews(as opposed to just throwing his wikipage at you), so you get to hear his thoughts first-hand and come to your own conclusions. They usually makes for good reactions as well since there's a lot to talk about.

SOS is a cover from a Punk Rock Opera released in 1978. The "Hero's girlfriend has just been shot and he sings this over her body in emotional crisis as his life passes before his eyes. ☹️The vocals going up and down with different vocal colors is meant to represent the brain jumping all over while in crisis. Sleep child sleep is the Hero saying goodbye to his lovers soul on her jouney.🌹🦋🌹 Dimash covered this song from another artist's version, Gregory Lemarchal from France who tragically died young. Gregory had an amazing range as well but I did not prefer his voice. 🎶🎹🔥🌹💜🌹🔥🎹🎶 This is the song that catapulted Dimash to mega-stardom in 2017. SOS is one of the world's top most difficult songs to sing in French.
