Dimash - The Story of One Sky | First Reaction 

Hello from Kazakhstan. Dimash is not only a composer of the composition but also a script writer of it. He worked for 3 years on this composition. On the recent visit to Kazakhstan the Pope awarded Dimash with a special medal. Love from Kazakhstan. We are choosing life and peace.

Hi Burnie, thank you for your sincere reaction. When I first heard this MV, it broke me, I became very emotional, it was heart wrenching! 😢 Dimash has worked hard for 3 years on this MV, and it turned out to be his most valuable MV, in the ideological sense, ever made, a real Masterpiece! I believe that Dimash deserves THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE, for his selfless hard work and tireless efforts in trying to bring the world together in love, peace and unity. He is a Legend and will go down in History. The mini movie is full of symbolisms, it's the story of 3 youths, 1) Dimash, who was drowning at the beginning and at the end; 2) Piper, the one who saved Dimash, and who became the leader, and who was killed by Dimash at the end; 3) The young girl, became Dimash’s future wife who gave birth to his son at the end, and Dimash's daughter who was killed by the Piper's army. They were all torn by the war. For the symbolic aspects, Dimash is showing the different cultures and religions (Catholicism, Islam, Buddhism, Hindi, etc.), through the throat singing, which is called the REQUIEM (mass for the souls of the dead), from different religions. The Pilgrim or (Shepard or a Wise Man) at the end of the video was Dimash’s baby boy, born in his image and grows up to guide the Representatives of different religions and race from different Nations to the light, for a new beginning living together in peace, tolerance, love and harmony. Young Dimash (on the beach), Present Dimash (in the war - he dies), Future Dimash - his son (leader).....from the water/womb, the soul transfers into the body of the son. Dimash has only been super famous since 2017....in that short time....at only 28 years old .....creating works of art at this level of depth and maturity, the risk he is taking, the cry out....screaming out..... for people to wake up and see and do something to save humanity.....BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE IF IT IS NOT ALREADY TOO LATE.......at only 28, after only 5 years of fame.....what kind of human is this???? Watch the fan cam of this song from his concert two weeks ago. His stage performance left me speechless. Dimash composed the music, wrote the story and acted as well. He’s been working on this for three years. The stage performance heart breaking.

Dimash just blew his previous self out of the water. It's hard to know how he will top himself (though I'm convinced that he wil). Can we all imagine him at 35 or 40?. With his voice continuing to mature. He's naivety being tempered and his moral compass, deepening. A pleasure and privilege, to watch him grow.

The only person that can beat Dimash is himself, he defies a lot of things when it comes to music, he is giving us a different perspective and that a song cannot just be in one genre, one style but he is able to show us that mixing and adding something different can work. This is a mini movie itself and it teaches us something I hope we don’t take him for granted with his talent and for his because Dimash is one of a kind. Most of all as an upcoming international artist, I applauding him for standup for what is right.

There is NO words to describe this monumental mv, he is one of a kind musically! Being a human with a heart for people in ALL the world of 2022 is remarkable. We need to learn as a people. Take care Burnie.

How can you not admire and respect such a wholesome artist with a beautiful heart and soul? Dimash’s song, video, and message are so powerful and compelling… We could feel his pain, passion, and desperation in his heavy metal like scream because he truly cares. In his first 3 concerts this year, he spoke about his distress over the war(s) and you could feel his desperation and frustration. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one. The second experiences a kind of psychological breakdown and transfers the children’s problems into the adult world of totalitarianism and struggle. By becoming president, the Antagonist carries the idea of a saving war: “Only war will lead us to peace. Only the strongest can find love in their hearts. You must be strong enough to give the world freedom. A world where every city, every home is one. We will lead all who are ready to begin this new life. Anyone who resists has no place with us. The Protagonist dies, his daughter died as innocent casualty of war, (possibly his wife dies in childbirth ?), the Antagonist dies. The son (of the Protagonist and his wife) survives with the help of people of all faiths, and in the last frame, he goes on, together with the pilgrims of all faiths, on the path of Kindness, Hope and Faith for the Better.

This is undoubtedly a masterpiece. This is a huge result of Dimash's work as a composer, singer, actor and just a wonderful person. I want all the artists of the world to promote peace and kindness in their work. So that the youth of the world are brought up on valuable human qualities, against violence and low lusts

He left everything on the stage, at the end he fell to his knees tearfully and then cried 'we need peace', I left my soul on that concert seat. 💔 He released 3 new songs at the concert and we're also waiting for another complex classical composition from him which from the short he released recently, sounds absolutely beautiful. 💖🙏

Dimash's voice is so gentle, fragile, sad at the beginning, yet there's such a strength in it. You're right it seems to showcase the different vocal techniques what we saw from him so far. Lots off symbolism in the MV, we can write a dissertation on it. I new he can act but the level he shows here was unexpected. The message is timely. Dimash really rocked me to the core with this one. I was speechless. The production quality, the storyline, the music, epic vocals.... the symbolism carried throughout and the sense of irony that a symbol that can start out representing something good and pure and can change to represent something angry and hate-filled.... and end up taking the very life it saved. Three friends on the beach, one drowns, one saves him and the girl watching as her friend saves Dimash. Fast forward, the boy who saved Dimash is now the Piper , Dimash marries the girl and has a young daughter and his wife is pregnant with another. the baby at the end is Dimash's son, who apparently the people around the birthing feel is an important birth. As if Jesus died, and this is to be the new prophet / savior. This is beyond epic, this is so much more than a music video. This should be shown world wide. People wake up ~!

When they were children, Dimash's character made them all necklaces as a symbol of friendship. When they grew up, his friend who had saved his life that day at the beach, went in an evil direction. He took that symbol of friendship and made it a symbol of war. He justified war by saying it was a way to unite people while he killed thousands of people, including Dimash's character's daughter. Dimash's wife, who was the little girl at the beach, is seen as the woman sitting on the floor wearing the necklace and holding their daughter. When the soldiers came, they fled but the daughter went back for her toy and was murdered. The wife was expecting another child and to save that child and all the other children and people, he had to kill his childhood friend even though he knew he would also be killed. He needed to do what he could to stop the slaughter. "We're choosing life" is what he's screaming in the end and sometimes that choice requires self-sacrifice. And you can tell by the slight smile on his face at the end, before he turns to walk towards the light with all the others from different religions and cultures (Christians, Buddhists, Muslim, Jews) who also (presumably) made similar sacrifices, that he felt he made the right choice. Dimash composed the music and wrote the story and did this song live at his recent concert in Kazakhstan. At his level of fame, he could easily sit back and say nothing - avoid politics - but he's using his position to promote peace. Ironically, his best performance of "War and Peace" was the one he did in Kyiv, Ukraine before an audience of Ukrainians and Russians. He has friends in both countries and I know the war is breaking his heart, especially because so many children have died.

Story: (Requiem means: Funeral, Funeral Mass, Funeral Service) The clip is divided into several parts. The first one is about childhood. The main character, his 2 friends are connected by childhood stories and symbols of eternal friendship. The pendant is a gnomon, the shadow pointer of a sundial, which was also used as a maritime compass before antiquity. One day the friend saves the Protagonist when he drowns. However, there is already competition in this children’s story, as the boys are in love with one girl, and she chooses one.
