That kickflip and hearing him say "that was so fun". It's hard to describe to my non skate friends just what it feels like to attempt something, land it, and then have a crowd of people cheer for you. There's nothing quite like that feeling.

The kickflip after 2:02 is so clean. I could only ever kickflip 2-3 stairs, but that is a wonderful feeling when the board cleanly catches/floats up perfect to your feet, then you cushion the landing and maintain board contact the entire time. Great feeling to land a clean flip trick.

When someone asks me what my favorite skate video is, I never tell them a specific skaters part, I always respond with community events, specifically the Dime Street Challenge 2018 vid, these events capture what skateboarding is all about, its not about being the best and making the most money, its about getting together with your homies and busting some sick ass tricks while your friends hype you up. Goddamn I love skateboarding.

This right here is how I was raised. At the skatepark every day through middle school and high school. Dozens of dudes ages 9 - 40 and we all shredded the best we possibly could. im 24 and honestly forgot where I came from. Seeing these videos after not watching any skateboarding for years makes me realize that this is where I got my personality, my taste in music, my creativity, my knowledge of the world, my passion for life, my ability to eat food off of any surface..... I need to go build me a new complete and get back at it

UNKNOWN SKATER FOR THE WIN

I had so much prejudice against skateboarding when I was younger, thought myself too blasé and uptight, like I was "above that shit". I was an uptight nerd who looked down on mostly everything that was mainstream and popular, or "young and hip". Spent my days playing videogames at home, mostly. Now I'm in my 40s, and since the olympics I've watched many stuff about Tony Hawk (he's SUCH a great guy), and stuff like this one, and it really makes me feel like a fool. So many happy moments that I missed from being a bit of an asshole.

I dont skateboard but i love watching stuff like this man this is so cool. Would like to attend
