I really have loved this era of Dinebag appreciation and tone chasing. I think these EQ's are incredible and so necessary for getting that " Sauce" Dimebag had. I would be very interested in what they could / would do to other amps as well. 🙏 Great Job Eric, you inspire me so much !
Could be the different frequencies based on how they were set. This video wasn't meant to show how one can sound like the other, as they both cut or boost the same frequency ranges.
I love old school rack gear. Kickass video!! Ivs the same pq3 with the black knobs and the bypass never worked. So, it was either on? Or not plugged in. Lol. .super annoying because I have to rearrange the rack and etc. Ya, man. More rack videos would be so great! I'm interested in some more Furman gear such as the mixer. Anyway, so enjoy your vids. It's so refreshing to see someone really get into this kind of stuff. Staying tuned!!
You still digging the OG EQFH a year later? I’m having a hard time deciding between the original and the Pro. Pretty much every amp I have has a ton of gain on tap already, and I would mainly be using whichever pedal I get in the loop.
This is the way to go. The Furman gear is STUPID expensive, old, and hard to come by. Master Effects has done an outstanding job replicating Furman's PQ.
@Eric Morettin I'll tell ya what else is stupid expensive. No, let me rephrase that. Down right bullshit. A shop on Reverb got 3 USA Dean Dime guitars in stock. A Trans Red Stealth, a FBD, and a Black with Silver bevels Stealth marked up to 8000 and 8500 dollars. Absolutely crazy man.
@Eric Morettin I'm always looking. I mean I have 2 USAs but I really would like a Stealth to add to my collection. Not for no 8500 bucks though!!! Lol. To Hell with that.
I don't recall off hand, but I want to say he used the high input. The difference between high and low inputs on the Randall RG is around 6db of input signal.
Narrowing down whether I'm buying the normal or pro version. Was hoping you could answer a few questions man. I'm not a fan of the noise some demanded in the pro. I'm also never going to use the pedal without the eq switch on. I do like the input high/low switch function but to me thats all ill be missing if i go with the eqfh normal. I guess I'm asking, does the original eqfh clip constantly without having the input level selection? I run my jvm thru my torpedo captorX and it already has an input level high/low button. Any advice is appreciated.
Having the high and low switch is really great to dial in if you have different output pickups. I like having it just because it is so useful. I would honestly say get the pro or the four just because of that switch. I shouldn't say the EQ is constantly clipping, but the clipping light is there to tell you if your signal is clipping and risking overloading or over distorting the initial signal
Sounded nothing like dimes tone and it would’ve been better head. You dialed it in already ride and just keep tapping the same cord over and over and over replay something don’t just let’s hear you turn the dial and tell note and turn it down and hit a note that really got old really fast.
What?? So, there is mixing and bass involved ont he records. Even without that I could tell. It sounds just like Dime. Not to mention, Eric is an A# player. u should have have mad respect for him
