Dimmu borgir kings of the Carnival Creation Live at Ozzfest 2004 Shagrat-Vocals, Silenoz-Rythm Guitar, Galder-Lead Guitar, Vortex-Bass/Clean Vocals, Mustis-Keys, Tony Laureano-Drums.
@tor Dude chill, I really liked Vortex, aswell as 99% of old Dimmu Borgir fans. "Keep calm beacause man united sucks", you have as bad taste in music as in football :D
Tony Amott yeah I agree totally. I never was a fan until I saw this video, kinda lumped them in with Cradle as the most mainstream black metal bands. I wonder if they're one of those groups that their energy just can't be captured in the studio
I find their live performances really intriguing, because I have no idea what sound is going to come out of Shagrath's mouth next. It's really amazing what a vocal range he has.
One of VERY few bands that could probably record an album without all of the modifications to make it sounds "perfect". Shagrath's voice sounds excellent without anything to enhance it ^_^. Dimmu Borgir will always be one of my top 5 favorite bands
Those vocals are perfect. They just incorporate the true meaning of the whole song in that lyrical part, and if they would have been growled, they'd have been just like the rest of the lyrics, but those vocals really take them out,at the surface, those vocals give the lyrics power and meaning
"Glance into the blackness hidden beneath your surface And enjoy the suffering, sanity drained in disrespect With such be devilled faith in good, subsequently trusting evil Next step for mankind will be the last seasons in sin"
nostalgica for me, used to borrow records at the music-library, and went home to a friend to listen and he had the DVD+CD from where this is taken from. And i remembered how i instantly knew that i was "spellbound"
So sad that those times including this fckn awesome line up won‘t come back! The mixture makes this song so amazing!!! I really wanna have a time machine, leaving covid sht and go back to this great times of Dimmu Borgir!
Dimmu sounds to me something that I did not expect to hear. I was expecting something like... Bathory and I ended with Dimmu remembering me Cradle of Filth. This is the second music of Dimmu I ever heard. I used to know about them, but never heard anything... And this is something I searched for a new band for me to hear. Gateways is addiction for me.
