The sheer whimsical atmosphere of this scene is enough to melt your heart right off. Just listen to the munchkins' voices and the energy they put into all of this. No wonder this film is the ultimate definition of a classic.
@@098890786 really? I've seen interviews to both Judy and members of the "Singer's Midget" troupe. They tell that while terrible shit happened on set, much of what ppl talk about is made up, kinda like the rape and orgy. Idk though

Those munchkins really knew how to take care of things. The entire town had a big production number learned and rehearsed, just waiting for the day that the witch died so they could celebrate it properly.
@@ZusuBee It might have something to do with the fact that this song was en-masse played after Margaret Thatcher died, lol. They wanted to ban the song from being played in the UK.
I feel this way about the wicked queen from “Snow White” and Maleficent from “Sleeping Beauty”. The wicked queen fell from a high cliff after it was struck by lightning and Prince Phillip killed Maleficent with his sword with the help of the good fairies.
How many times has this happened for they have to multi check that the ugly is dead. Awesome how Dorothy is like a newborn child not knowing what's going on, though she did it.
She was just in the house at the time it happened. She didn't create the tornado that lifted the house to Oz or directed it onto the Witch of the West.
My grampa Harold's boyhood friends Billy Curtis was one of Singer's Midgets. Billy was one of the city fathers who confronted Dorothy. He wore the spotted coat and hat.
Queen, world’s biggest financial criminal, slave trader, drug dealer, terrorist, warmonger and child trafficking operator. And all those people with Stockholm syndrome remembering her.
"Paloski, take the door and don't let Todo hit 🎯🎮 you on the way out of Washington DC USA 😎👍😎 devolution ..take Todo with you poloski Monica Polska Toylet "
They were well prepared to celebrate this death. Also they were careful to credit Dorothy, which directed the W W of the West's ire at her, not them. What with this, and the Wizard ordering a hit, this brightly-lit story has a dark underside.
This movie was based off the industrial revolution of America. The witches are factory and munchkins are the factory workers. During this time it was common for factory owners to treat there workers worse than slaves in some ways. 1. slave owners were forced by law to pay for their slaves medical care but factory workers(including children from 3-18) weren't given the same luxury.(they were also put in deadly and harmful situations where entire limbs can be torn off) 2.The Factory workers were sometimes weren't paid but given money that had no value. The workers could only trade there earnings with the factory because anywhere else their money had no value(they were also given very little money), 3.The factory workers were given insane hours. In some cases the owners had to constantly beat children in order to keep them awake(Some died from how hard they were hit). 4.They were also legally required to stay at their job because most people had signed a contract that forced them to work for a certain number of years. This is why I think this song isn't so bad they were treated as slaves and are only celebrating their independence. I feel the witch dying symbolizes the end of this system and the beginning of workers rights. (sorry this was so long)
0:06, 0:20, and 0:28 when Alfred Oswalt is praised for defeating the evil pirate Harrison Picaroon, and when Freddi Lindenbaum is welcomed by Queen Greta and the good people of Ogland.
Pretty sure my boyfriend is bipolar. He was so sweet and calm all week but he's been on a rampage the past 2 days. Anyway, his threats to break things off brought me here.
