Arwen is a 14'6" standing lug yawl 'navigator design' by John Welsford. Her home waters are Plymouth Sound and the rivers Tamar, Lynher and Yealm but she sometimes ventures further afield along the coast to Salcombe, Dartmouth, Fowey or Falmouth. Her vlogs and associated blog are a 'future' diary for her skipper for when he reaches an age where sailing has become too difficult! he built a boat and then realised he didn't know how to sail her. This channel and blog follow his and Arwen's adventures together as he tries to learn how to be a successful dinghy cruiser!!
(NOTE: A further video focusing on Arwen's standing and deck rigging/hardware will appear later this year).

@@plymouthwelshboy I am based in Cirencester in the Cotswolds but do travel and trailer my boats regularly. Plymouth Sound is high on my list of 'targets' for this year

@@plymouthwelshboy quite possibly 27th April through to 3rd May. I was planned to go to W Coast of Scotland however it’s unlikely that tourist accommodation and travel into Scotland from England will be allowed for ‘non locals’, therefore it seems a perfect opportunity to tick off this one from the list. The weather is looking fantastic as well. Would the marina where you launch allow me to have a berth there and trailer storage for the week do you think?

@@andrewsmith5451 ah I'm not around for then I'm afraid. Not sure what QAB are.doing at moment best give them a ring...three marinas in Plymouth....yacht haven, queen Anne's battery and.mayflower marina. Good sail is up the lynher to treluggan boat yard. Another one is up the Tamar to calstock boatyard. If weather is good try a sail around to noss mayo and the river yealm. They may have a mooring you could pick up. Hope that helps.
