The first mega base in Dinkum! This is the tour.
I created this video to be able to show it to other people and to inspire them :)
I hope you enjoy it.
If you have any questions I will try to answer everything in the commands or you can add me on steam and ask there. :)
I used "minecraftcirclegenerator.co" to create the circles.

Was looking through the comments to see if there had been any local updates on the video or whats come of the island. And to give my own perspective this is quite the amazing feat, the hours put into a game that would really harbor no reward other than the feeling of accomplishing such a task. It's amazing and truly shows your dedication to the build. It was crazy just to watch and see all the amazing stuff I wish I could just import or have it be a little cheat area to have on my map if I ever needed anything haha. But I hope that one day the time is right and you can sit down and finish it and see your vision of the map realized. It's inspiring to see the build and definitely makes me want to work that much harder on my own Dinkum creations. This at least showed me what is possible! Have a good one and hoping to one day see the complete picture!

I thought it's an easy game to relax and calm down. Now I see all these mega bases and farms and stress myself more and more into the game then COD or whatever shooter can do 😂

What are the gate doors behind the store buildings for?

Since the base is an island I thought it would be fitting if I gave them access to the water, where they could jump on a boat and drive around e.g. to the main island I will add some boats when I am playing again :)

If I understand you correctly, this was done out in the middle of the ocean? I may attempt it over land sometime. Would be nice to know the approximate size of each ring mostly because of getting all the townspeople together. Well done, I applaud you.❤

Yes, I build it on the ocean. I wanted it to be it's own system. I will count the rings and overall radius. Give me some time and I will come back to you 🖐🏻

Okay the whole radius is 113 (diameter = 225). The middle r = 37 The inner water ring r = 5 The middle land ring r = 46 The outer water ring r = 5 The nature ring r = 20 Hope that will help you 👍🏻👍🏻

Great build getting ideas just watching the tour. Out of curiosity do you remember the height and width you used trying to attempt a similar design landscape wise but having trouble deciding how far out i should go.

What I did before I started building was to make a sketch on a peace of papar (+ how big the rings and e.g. the feld were going to be). I changed some things on the go, but that was really helpfull. Then I located the middle of a ocean corner (doesn't need to be perfect but really helps) to give my self the most space that I can get. (Even tried to build out of bounce but that sadly didn't work). I will try to find the radius of the base but that take some time 🖐🏻

@@tennli01 I really appreciated the help, I have been attempting to a similar build but almost in the center of the map. It has been interesting so far and frustrating at the same time. But just not sure on radius I should go to make sure I have plenty of room to freely building everything I have been wanting to.

The middle r = 37 The inner water ring r = 5 The middle land ring r = 46 The outer water ring r = 5 The nature ring r = 20 I can tell you that I made the middle ring that large so it would fit my field design + some extra bocks for the path + some more so it would look good (didn't want the edge of the field to be right next to the edge of the ring). What kinda base are u building? Are u trying to fit all the people + all other stuff inside aswell? But yeah I know the what you mean with it is fun but also kinda painfull. Dividing karge tasks into smaller section really helps. 👍🏻

Hey, sadly not. I've finished the last empty part of the base (top left corner) and build there a romatic river. I just don't have the time to finish up the base 100% and to make a follow up video about it. Maybe I will come back one day when I have more time on my hands - thanks for the nice command, I'm happy people like what I build :)

How did you get that big ship? aawesome build but i have never seen that ship

Hey thank you. The big ship is called 'Sail Boat' and you can a) get it from a blueprint, b) from the table in Franklyn's Lab, c) Jimmy's Boat, or d) inside a chest found in the undergrove. Hope that helps, and you can find it on the internet by typing in 'Dinkum Sail Boat' if you want more information on the topic :)

How did you move the different biomes to your island? With shovel or is there something quicker?

You are right, I used the shovel. Since I build the island in the ocean it was all made out of sand in the beginning. For the grass biomes I converted the sand into dirt and then added the specific grass seeds and plated the trees and plants afterwards. The gras will spawn naturally. The beach you just leave it as it is. For the dessert biomes you converted the sand to the dessert block type and plant what ever you like :) And the mangrove biome is one of the easiest. You converted the sand into the mangrove block and the mangroves will spawn naturally. I hope I was able to help you :)

just a questiong regarding spacing between tree farming like for limes and apple, cause my friends suggesting me to atleast keep at space since they said fruit will not spawn. Thanks

Hey I hope I understood your question correctly, but fruit should always spawn no matter how they are planted. I have space between the trees, so I would have an easy time collecting the fruits. If I couldn't help you then just send another message :)
