It really is. I still miss Scott Mcneil, but this gives a better idea of just how young DB is supposed to be. Sure, Megs has him beat with experience and bulk, but DB is in his prime and was properly trained.

The original BW Megatron, earned that name by being a legacy to G1 Megatron. This BW Megatron though, was kinda a disgrace to the name, and no wonder G1 Megatron wanted him to change it so bad
Remember how this guy set humanity in its current evolutionary path in the original Beast Wars with his stick and stone? Gotta admit the sheer epicness of that moment has me tear up a bit even today.
And in classic Beast Wars, he took out all of the Predacons, BY HIMSELF. Granted it did him in but he still pulled it off. Dinobot deserves one version of himself to live.
In the original Beast Wars, he literally set the path for human evolution with his stick and stone. In what was likely the most epic Transformers episode ever.

You know, this brings up a concept I hadn't considered. When you actually put the two side by side, Dinobot really is the superior fighter. Gladiators fight for the sake of entertainment. Sure, they still fight to the death, but they don't necessarily train for combat so much as adapt to what the next challenger and pray they survive. Then you have warriors like Dinobot. He has trained for who knows how long under a strict code of honor, disciplining both body and mind so as to fight to the best of his abilities. It really puts Megatron in a whole new perspective for me, even if I'm disappointed with Scott McNeil not reprising his role.
@@floridaman2425 this Megatron would've been able to take him down himself however this was during a very desperate time for this Megatron, he was losing his mind and going into a blind rage instead of actually using what he was as a gladiator

Everyone seems to think TFP Megatron would wipe the floor with Dinobot, but I'm not so certain. In a 1v1, with Megatron only having his basic weapons (no Dark Star Saber) against Dinobot I think it's definitely be close. Arguably, Megatron won the fight against Predaking for 3 reasons: Predaking was pissed af and not thinking beyond "Scrap Megatron", Starscream Intervened with a Missile to Predakings back, and they were on Megatron's own ship (which he knew well and could use to his advantage). Gotta remember that Dinobot wouldn't be blind-rage mode like Predaking, and is way more skilled in sword fighting and combat (especially compared to Predaking, who was only alive for a few months at that point (I think)). The only advantage Predaking had over Dinobot was pure strength and endurance. Dinobot winning against TFP Megatron would rely on him dodging attacks, and striking when he can. If he gets hit once, well, from then on its gonna go downhill for Dinobot. I could see Dinobot loosing as well, TFP Megatron is good with his sword as well and was a gladiator (and a very successful one at that). If TFP Megatron found out about Dinobot's sense of Honor, you better bet he'd use it to his advantage in winning. Ultimately I think it depends on where they fight, what gear they go in with, and if it's a 1v1.
TFP Megatron is leagues above most of his other iterations. He has class and obvious skill in his fighting style, which he supplements with his cunning and wit. Dinobot is a very skilled and accomplished warrior, but I don't think he can hold his own against TFP Megatron. He's strong enough to overpower Bulkhead rather easily, as well as fast enough to take down Arcee and Bumblebee
Wait is TFP connected to this? TFP Megatron was able to block Bulhead's punch with one hand. A punch that was able to crack an entire ice continent I might add.
TFP Megatron would absolutely beat Dinobot. Standard gear and downscaled to Dinobot's size, Prime Megatron would still take him. He has a massive power and experience advantage. The BW Predacons under Megatron were a terrorist group. Not warriors. I'd hardly call an assisted victory over Predaking TFP Megatron's high mark. He killed an Insecticon in single combat. He beat down three Autobots for sport. He owns a victory over his show's Optimus when he shattered the Star Saber. And he defeated multiple skyscraper sized copies of a dormant Unicron in the season 1 finale. The problem is on Dinobot's end. His best feat is soloing four mook Predacons and Rampage. That doesn't exactly stack up to Prime Megatron.
TFP Megatron has too much endurance for Dinobot to win. The fight would end up similarly to Optimus fight with TFP megatron. Megatron catches the blade with his hands, before snapping it in two.
The amazing thing is that he was actually winning the fight until Beast Megatron interfered. I'd figured he was a powerful and skilled fighter, but that has to be one of his most impressive feats.
That and Megatron was going crazy at the time as well and that doesn't help when your fighting someone who is more disciplined in the fight but if this was transformers prime Megatron , dinobot would never have stand a chance
@@casualknight8962 I'm pretty sure even if it was TFP Megatron, Dinobot would still win. Dinobot is actually one of the most powerful and most underrated Transformers characters ever. There are so many Transformers characters out there who use/don't use swords that he could just mop the floor with.
@@Ironluke_2001 I don't doubt dinobot ability in a fight but were talking about one of the most strongest and smartest cybertronion to ever exist and that would be Megatron and transformers prime shows the most of Megatron abilities like how he has the insecticon hord under his command despite just one of insecticon being strong enough to kill him and he outsmarted predaking during their fight the only reason dinobot beat Megatron was because he was crazed which dinobot used that to his advantage

Haven’t watched this series, so I have absolutely no clue as to why g1 megatron just glitched into beast wars. Still a cool match tho, dinobot was my favorite from beast wars when I watched it all those years ago.
I know a lot of people hate how different the Beast Wars characters were in this show, but if you think about it, they don't HAVE to be exactly like the ones from the original show. This is a completely new iteration of the characters we know and love. That's why they're so different. It's kinda like alternate versions of them from a parallel universe or something like that. I'll admit, I wasn't the biggest fan Tigatron's voice or the fact that the Maximals' eyes were red, but the other changes kept me interested. And I honestly thought Beast Wars Megatron being such a suck-up to the original actually made sense. BW Megatron named himself after the original because he idolized him. Sure this new version isn't as crazy as the original, but hey, it's not that big of a change. And who knows? If they make a continuation for this show, he may end up stabbing his new master in the back. We'll just have to wait and see. (This fight is also my favorite scene in the whole show, btw.)
With some of them, the differences are deeply meaningful (like Primal being less the curious explorer stranded out of need and more a desperate pragmatic old soldier, or Dinobot being more reticent about leaving the Predacon flag behind), but with others (such as Pred Megatron) the difference is JUST adaptation decay losing the heart of the character (his intellect, refinement, and dedication to his cause).
@@caffeinedelusions well, yeah, I see your point, but it was pretty easy for me to look past it on account of how different he looked from his original version, which reminded me of the point I that I was trying to make. I understand the changes they made to the characters and I was able to look past them, but I really do hope they do the Beast Wars characters more justice on that new movie coming up.
My problem with the new Megatron is that he just doesn't feel like a leader to me. Also, BW Megatron didn't name himself after G1 Megatron, did he? If I'm not mistaken both Megatrons named themselves after Megatronus from the covenant of Primus (essentially the Transformer bible).
I kind of want a remaster of Beast Wars with this quality of animation like keep the original voice acting (or at the very least get the original voice actors back, especially for Megatron) but use modern animation for it
Imagine if The original G1 series got a new series that bridges the gap between Scramble City and the G1 movie and in it Optimus Primal and BW Megatron appear in the late 1990’s and Dinobot and the other fallen Maximals return to help him and we actually see an official G1/BW Canon G1 Megatron Vs (Transmetal 3) Dinobot, featuring both Scott Mcneil and Frank Welker.

The Original Dinobot had The Fighting Spirit to face on The Entire Predacon Army by himself. While This War For Cybertron Dinobot had The Balls to face The Original Megatron by himself. While he may not have appeared in a lot of Episodes and his Death was no Code of Heroes but This Version of Dinobot Definitely Payed Tribute to The Beast Wars Dinobot and Krizz Kaliko is Truly an Incredible Successor to Scott McNeil.

Im not well versed in beast wars characters so can someone explain how Dinobot was able to mop the floor with Megatron, isn't he meant to be a ruthless gladiator with unrivaled skill? (Treating optimus like a ragdoll in siege)
Megatron just has brute force. He was built as the most powerful and advance cybertronian of his time. That's why he always had an advantage in the gladiator arena; he was more powerful than everyone else by design. Dinobot on the other hand has skill and is a master swordsman. Remember the Quintessons just wanted to see cybertronians kill each other for entertainment in the coliseum. They never trained them to be elite soldiers, it was just an amateur spectacle where the strongest one survived. Megatron dominated the arena with his superior strength and rage against random opponents. Dinobot is an elite warrior who could take down 3 or 4 predacons including BW Megatron at the same time. Imagine Megatron be a high school bully and dinobot a black belt champion in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Dinobot in the beast wars was a warrior, one of the most powerful and a well trained solider and combat expert plus in beast wars he was one of the big brutes
Megatron was going crazy and also his top trait of his is strength like a tank. And can kinda move slowly due to his size, I believe. Dinobot, is a quick and nimble swordsman and can transform into a Velociraptor, a fast and deadly predator.

Soundwave can kill them by just thinking while megatron with a single blast demolish them. Kingdom was great but this fight insult these character capabilites and powers
Nah if it was without the matrix it would be a different story Megatron only lost to Dinobot because he was going crazy and desperate and malfunctioning cause of the matrix rejecting him like what you think he was fighting like how he normally does even while using the matrix then what’s the point of the matrix’s rejection if it doesn’t do that much to the unworthy wearer and we saw soundwave say the matrix was making Megatron malfunction we saw how Megatron wiped the floor with Optimus if Megatron wasn’t wearing the matrix Dinobot would end up like ultra magnus.
