Absolutely love playing dinomist against my friends! I really wish that they would have won the create a card last year in hopes for a sweet link monster for them but oh well... Anyway, I've used limiter removal in my dinomist deck since they came out since it was super useful for them! :D
Legitimately one of my favorite decks! Always hoped it would get more cards and finally live up the potential they have...hopefully one day! Ive been saying the same thing about fire kings though
Hey, you never know! Konami's been on a tear this last year with legacy support, so as long as they don't have an anime they need to adapt, I expect we'll be seeing stuff for BOTH of them eventually!
It's a pretty good beginner Pendulum Deck, not gonna lie. Uses the mechanic well, but doesn't have a super complicated additional mechanic to add to the barrier of entry.
There was a game where my Gishki Synchro deck (3 Shadow 2 Vision 2 Gustkraken, with 2 Zielgigas in the side) ran up against these guys. After a first round slaughter due to hand loop, I sided into my twin Gigas since I knew they wouldn't let me go first. And they ran me out of town for most of the game with how big they are, and with the amount of machine support. I was only able to pull out a win with the water Spirit Charmer stealing a Spino from their grave. Dinomist is what I wish they did with pendulum decks. Either specific archetypes that live or die by their unique mechanic, or decent generic support for weaker archetypes. Instead we got Endymion and Dimension Dragons...so anyway ban all pendulums except Doremi and Dinomist. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
I’ve always loved Dinomist, since I’m a huge sucker for dinosaurs. Looking at them, though, they’ve got some serious problems. But I feel that with the tools they currently have, they might work best as a grind deck over just simple aggro. My current build uses a combination of Fury of Kairyu-Shin and Torrential Tribute in order to help clear a path when the opponent starts overcommitting, whilst also keeping said Dinomists safe due to Fury’s floating effect. It’s not overly spectacular, but considering how much of a budget deck it is, then I feel that it’s pretty alright.
That IS a pretty outstanding upside, especially with how popular Torrential Tribute has been recently. Thanks for sharing, I'll be keeping that in mind for next time to put them together!
It’s 2021 and I’m still playing Dinomist. All they need is a good link 2 and one more main deck searcher, preferably a quick play. Also, just opinion here, old school yugioh players that hate pendulums wouldn’t hate them if this design was how they were introduced.
Dinomist is such a fun deck. one of my favorite things was watching someone try to Twin Twisters my scales, especially when i have Dinomist Charge up. Not to mention how shockingly easy it is to get an OTK with Spinos and/or Limiter Removal.
Dinomist also got access to Bahamut Shark and therefore TOADally Awesome. A more combo oriented version of Dinomist is the only deck capable of consistently summoning Infinity and Toad in the first turn. While the new Pot card is arguably better for this deck, Dinomist is still able to use a wide variety of semi generic draw spells like Moray of Greed and Ignikht Reload.
I love the design of Dinomists. If they could get just 1 thing, I’d hope for it to be a link Monster (probably link 3, though there’s some copium for 2), that points down with all of its arrows. Maybe it’d have an effect where: If a “Dinomist” monster you control is tributed by a card effect: You can target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it. (Then an OPT clause)
Dinomist rush is a great card to put a body on the field and it Summons from the deck. However, it makes the monster unaffected even to its own effects. So your Spinos and Rex won't benefit from their effects, even though you can still activate them. With the exception of Rex's shuffle effect.
While I will agree that Eruption is a lackluster trap, it is a funny combination with Rush to get a bonus pop against the opponent at the end of the turn. As always, awesome video Nova, keep it up!
Fair point, though I worry how this reflects on our labor practices: Forcing Dinomists to rush through their workload, only to have a meltdown when they get home? That CAN'T be ethical. But seriously, thanks a million! I'll do my best to keep at it!
This content is high quality and your delivery is wonderful. I subbed on my 2nd video. Really hoping you hit that 5k goal soon because HEROs are low-key my favorite and I'm binging these Explained videos at spell speed 4 so I need it.
Okay imma share a strategy I recently found out using these cards. If you link summon a monster whose arrows point to your main monster zone. You can pendulum summon from the extra deck that amount of monsters to those places
Personally I really enjoy them, they probably need a few cards like a link or a spell to get them started, like a quick play pendulum summon but otherwise they are probably one of the best pendulum archs with access to toad and infinity where most decks have a problem getting one of those out and only that 1
Don't mind me, just breaking the yugioh again. Name: "Dinomist Carnotaurus" Attribute: Water Type: Machine/Link/Pendulum/Effect Link Arrows: Top-Center Pendulum Scale: 6-6 ATK/LINK: 1000/[1] Pendulum Effect: Once, while this card is in your Pendulum Zone, you can negate an activated card effect that targets another "Dinomist" card(s) you control, then destroy this card. Material: 1 Level 5 or lower Machine monster Monster Effect: Cannot be Pendulum Summoned. If this card is Link Summoned: You can Set 1 "Dinomist" Spell/Trap directly from your Deck. It can be activated this turn. You can target 1 "Dinomist" card in your Pendulum Zone; Special Summon it, and if you do, place this card in your Pendulum Zone. You can only use each effect of "Dinomist Carnotaurus" once per turn.
I hope dinomist get some support soon. I like to play barrier statue in the deck along with aquarium stage. Dinomist is also deck you might have to play with more monsters and less spell/traps to open up for scales to summon more dinomist monsters.
Dinomist mostly needs it's own Archetype extra deck. It's already good. but it's best strategies mostly rely on using XYZ and that hurts the pendulum playstyle. If I could add any cards I would do the following: 2 new Pendulum/Tuners. 1 that is a scale 3 level 4 and 1 that is a scale 6 level 5. Maybe even give them a level correction effect when played as monsters, or allow them to be used as syncho-material from the pendulum zone. 1 to 3 Synchro Monsters. I like the idea of making 1 synchro/Pendulum, 1 Synchro/tuner/pendulum, and 1 Synchro Pendulum that can only be made using the other 2 to be the main boss monster of the deck. 1 or more archetype specific link monsters. The summoning chain being that you use your tuners as your scales, summon 5 dinomists to the board. Make a link 3, then use each of the respective scales to synchro with the remaining monsters. then synchro their materials together. ending your turn with 1 Link 3 and 1 giant synchro monster.
Water and Machine are a unique mix of elements, but they get surprisingly good support from each factor of their design. WATER: It's not as good now because of limited S/T space but Eisbahn was one of my favorite techs. Ice-Bound God is a newer card that mixes well with how Dinomist perform as well. Moray of Greed is unfortunately the best generic WATER draw card out there but between Pteran and Charge it works surprisingly well. Silent Sea Nettle allows you to make more agressive XYZ plays while recycling your materials, which is something Dinomist sorely need. And White Howling is just *chef Kiss* MACHINE: Traps like Pulse Mines and Magnet Force keep your opponent off balance and allow you to maintain field presence. And E.M.R is just Dinomist Eruption but better. Iron Call allows you to recycle your LV4's and Gravity Blaster is a fantastic equip that just works with their aggressive playstyle. I'm currently pulling these cards from Master Duel, so there could be loads of other cards I don't know of that work as well. Fingers crossed they get some dedicated support soon. Like a link and some sort of Dinomist Megazord fusion.
After coming back to this video after the new Dracoslayers were added into Master Duel, the new Majesty evolution fixes every issue when it comes to the Dracoslayers unsearchable field spells
@@GoldenNovaYugioh in hoping we get a legacy set that makes new support for older decks that haven't had new releases for a while, like Dinomist, ABC-VWXYZ, Agents, etc.
you forgot to make a mention of the symphonic engine(3 guitar 2 mics) it dosent lock your scales(well mic kinda does it, but you are more often to summon it) its another lvl 5 to CDI and grants an extra normal to extend the link plays. My silly tech pick would be: fairy tale luna (in combination with the symphonic engine your turn 1 can be 2 monster bounce and a CDI)
I am legitimately surprised with how little pendulum decks there were in Yu-Gi-Oh ARC. No seriously, Sylvio process the only exclusive Pendulum Deck in the show. (Yuya and Declan don’t count, they used multiple summoning mechanic as well. Neither does the ninja, since that came at the very, very end.) So weird.
9:56 I HAVE BEEN SUMMONED Also I love Dinomist but the fact that they're machines and not Dinosaurs drives me crazy even though they're machine dinos so it's technically correct
Ties of the brethen it's a good option going first, it's an easy way to acces electrumi...qliphort genius, necrovalley it's another good card that has some sinergy with the deck and for hand-traps droll and veiler maybe? But seriusly, the deck needs some support 1 or 2 links would be amazing
This is my favorite Yugioh archetype and is grossly underestimated. Edit: I use Topolpgic Bomber Dragon in my Dinomist Extra Deck to take advantage of the effects. 😉
Yeah, it kinds sucks just how much the already low-tiered Pendulum decks got nerfed even worse. Here's hoping we get some kind of update for them soon, cause I'd love to see them take the stage!
I always loved Dinos in Yu-Gi-Oh but some of them kinda suck (not you SCT and UCT). if you was in the shows what would be your deck that's not the from the shows mine would be eldlich. Also good luck on the Hero explained. ok I didn't know they were machines but still you know what I mean
Hello Everyone, I've got a new upload for ya! *Null falls out of pocket* Oh haha that's embarrassing *Amunesia fumbles out as I try to pick it up* haha wow, crazy right? *gets crushed by Ogdoabyss*
This is one of those decks I wish I loved, I mean it's robot dinosaurs for crying out loud, but something about the art and the way they play just turns me away.
